We came out to enjoy a nice family dinner but unfortunately was very disappointed. The waitress that sat us and waited on us was not remotely nice. She certainly could use some training with being a bit more pleasant. Then the chef seemed as if he was having a really hard day, which I can understand but he cooked each food individually instead of most things at once. For example, the rice was cold by the time the meat came and the veggies were an after thought. They came last and sat so long on the burner that they were like rubber. We were not offered any dipping sauces until someone asked for them and we were done eating by then.
However, the chef next to us was AMAZING! You can tell that he loves his job. He was excellent with making everyone engaged and even though he came in long after our chef began, he was almost done by the time ours was. That table got everything that they needed.
So, its hit or miss here. There are some amazing chefs (at least the one we saw), but also some awful service. Its a gamble here and for these prices, I think we will ho somewhere else next time.

I’ve eaten here multiple times and every time I’m let down. I’m not sure how this place has 4.5 stars. About 2 weeks ago, I ordered via DoorDash and the driver took the wrong order. The restaurant called multiple times to have me let the driver know he needs to return the order. I still received the wrong order and had to have it reissued. When it arrived it was still wrong. The food is never top tier. The service is short.
This time I went there was crumbs in my sister’s drink. She sent it back and it came back with a stick in it. They removed it from the ticket but it happened. Shouldn’t have.
I ordered a soft shell crab and it came with crab salad slopped on it. The presentation was dated and unnecessary. Also the waitress touched and messed up part of the tomato portion of the presentation. It’s not practical for serving.
The ramen I ordered was fine but the serving of noodles in the soup was little compared to the broth and toppings. The sushi my sister ordered was falling apart because it was improperly rolled. For the price of everything, I expect better. Probably won’t be returning.

Sushi was fresh. Spicy seafood ramen was good. Could have had some more seafood in it but nonetheless the flavor was good. Service was fine. The atmosphere was a little Asian fast food meets Sushi fine dining.

The service was very friendly for my togo order. The young man who is the host is doing a great job.

I do have to say I was disappointed that the fried rice was chalk full of onions. As an onion-despiser, it was rough. There were so many, I couldn’t even pick them out. Hopefully if I get fried rice here again I can ask if they can remove the onions.

That and the chicken katsu being a lil overcooked are why it is 4 stars. The California roll, edamame, and veggie tempura were good.

Boy, do I love Edohana!! The sushi here, while maybe not authentic, is super creative, and I promise you won’t find anything like it anywhere else! My favorite is the Texas Cowboy Roll. It made such a statement, along with the Edohana Special that the table next to us asked what it was. I just love trying all the combos they have. Staff is also friendly. The one downside is that the restaurant is very cramped, but it’s worth it for the food.

As I write this review I’m conflicted about the food. The Sushi roll I had was delicious but the chicken in the ramen was disgusting. The service was nothing special but not bad, and the atmosphere was well okay. Overall I would go back if I was in the area but wouldn’t make a trip to go here.

We had the Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura and spicy California roll. They were all delicious and a good size for the price. My favorite was the cucumber salad, it had a nice flavor and was so fresh and crisp.

Edohana has been my favorite sushi spot for almost 10 years. Although TX Cowboy is my go to roll, I have yet to have a roll or appetizer or ramen here that I did not like. I’ve brought so many friends and family here. It’s also the perfect date spot. Patio seating avaliable.
