However, the chef next to us was AMAZING! You can tell that he loves his job. He was excellent with making everyone engaged and even though he came in long after our chef began, he was almost done by the time ours was. That table got everything that they needed.
So, its hit or miss here. There are some amazing chefs (at least the one we saw), but also some awful service. Its a gamble here and for these prices, I think we will ho somewhere else next time.
This time I went there was crumbs in my sister’s drink. She sent it back and it came back with a stick in it. They removed it from the ticket but it happened. Shouldn’t have.
I ordered a soft shell crab and it came with crab salad slopped on it. The presentation was dated and unnecessary. Also the waitress touched and messed up part of the tomato portion of the presentation. It’s not practical for serving.
The ramen I ordered was fine but the serving of noodles in the soup was little compared to the broth and toppings. The sushi my sister ordered was falling apart because it was improperly rolled. For the price of everything, I expect better. Probably won’t be returning.
I do have to say I was disappointed that the fried rice was chalk full of onions. As an onion-despiser, it was rough. There were so many, I couldn’t even pick them out. Hopefully if I get fried rice here again I can ask if they can remove the onions.
That and the chicken katsu being a lil overcooked are why it is 4 stars. The California roll, edamame, and veggie tempura were good.
