Ordered the beef with brown rice, one scoop of sauce, they are more than happy to give you more on the side to use accordingly.
Good taste, good portion size, reasonably priced.
Fast and friendly service, store is clean and you can eat in if you like.
Is it the best ever Japanese, of course not, it’s fast food!
But certainly a nice change and I will return.

So I’ve lived in Japan for the past 30 years, last week I arrived to prepare to move my family to Burlington. As I have no food currently in my home (my wife hasn’t arrive yet) I felt like some Japanese food. Edo Japan was the only place I found still opened at 9:30pm. So I rushed over hoping to get some food.
Cons
From my experienced perspective, the Bento box was of good construction, but typical western style. Eating the last 10% of rice was not easy with chopsticks. A spoon would have been easier, but I prefer chopsticks. $3.30 for a 500ml Coke was a bit expensive for me.
Pro
– friendly and knowledgeable staff
– clean overall
– not junked up to fill space
– food tasted the same as if I was still in Japan, same look, sauce flavour and sticky rice.
– mushrooms are not common in Japan, put I asked them to remove the broccoli from my order so with the mushrooms is was an unusual taste combo, but it worked!
– the rice was just the right texture that it held together well with chopsticks.
– the teriyaki beef quantity was plentiful with the right amount of white rice.
– the gyoza tasted good, hard to find good gyoza sometimes even in Japan.
I had thought as I arrived just before closing I’d end up with old hard rice and tired service. This was far from that! Fresh white slightly sticky rice (perfect) tasty meat and enough to fill me tonight. The staff were pleasant, smiling and I didn’t feel like I was bothering they as the were so close to closing at 10pm.
If you have never been to Japan but wondered what the flavours and taste are like then look no further, Edo Japan is the place to go.
I’ll be back once my family arrives (or maybe again before!) they are sure to love it as much as I do!

We honestly didn’t enjoy our visit. The food is inexpensive, but the quality wasn’t great — the sushi rice was undercooked, and the teriyaki rice was overcooked and mushy. Staff were friendly, but overall the food felt inconsistent and not worth it, even for the price. We had better food court Japanese.

Ordered ramen and sushi and it was disgusting. The ramen had broth but it didn’t taste like ramen at all and they use ground beef. The sushi was horrible too, messy with too much sauce and not good. Very poor quality and not worth the money. I won’t order again.

Had a wonderful experience at this location’s Grand Opening today! It means a lot to finally have an Edo Japan so close to home. Even with a big crowd, my order was ready in just a few minutes and the food was fresh and delicious. I even came back a few minutes later to place a second order because we had guests over, and everything was just as quick and tasty. The owner was incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive, which made the visit feel extra special. This Edo Japan already feels like a favourite weekly spot!

First time here, Staff are super attentive and focussed on giving the customer a great experience. Food was hot and delicious! Nice touch was bringing food to my table, and the young lad who took my order checked to see if everything was good and if I needed anything! Head office should take note of this location

First time visiting. The food was amazing & so flavourful! The Yakisoba noodles were very hearty. The staff were super friendly & courteous.
