We took our family and some friends to hibachi for my birthday dinner and had a wonderful time! The dining area was clean with plenty of room for the 7 of us. Everyone ordered hibachi and we enjoyed the food and chatting with the chef, TJ. We ordered a variety of food: chicken, steak, shrimp, tofu, and one roll. Our kids loved the noodles and friend rice. We were very entertained and TJ was very friendly. We will definitely go again for dinner!

The people running the place seemed very nice, but a bit disorganized. The entire building was very very dirty…rank non-food related smells, random boxes and things laying around – the furniture in the entry area was visibly filthy – i wouldn’t want to sit on it…i swear i’m not a neat freak at all and I’ve travelled quite a bit on the non-touristy routes. It was just weird.

We were there for a birthday and everything was great! the food and service were so good. Most of us got hibachi and the chef was funny, attentive and kind. Would definitely be back soon!

I have gone to this place a couple of times in the past and have had good and bad experiences. The most recent time (Roughly a week ago) I think was one of the best.

Food was okay. It wasn’t something amazing or somewhere I would go again. The salad dressing on the salad was really weird, the miso soup was very meh, the chicken Katsu seemed store bought. The server was nice enough, the restaurant had nice private booths, but not nicely decorated. They have a ton of turtles in their fish pond in the front.

The waitress was good but we were there for 90 minutes for 4 rolls and 4 tables. Took way too long. Then the rolls weren’t even right she was adding things that weren’t listed like avocado so my husband wouldn’t eat it. The waitress basically said sorry I can’t say anything to her she doesn’t speak English… and then gave us a full bill for 3 uneaten rolls. There is better and cheaper sushi around Madison. Also the place is gross it needs a remodel.. chipped paint, weird smells, and dirty vibes

We get take out here somewhat regularly. Dined in tonight with the family (my two younger daughters) and sat in the secluded dining rooms. The owner I think waited on us. He was super nice, attentive, and the food was excellent. It’s a great little joint in monona, i think it’s foot traffic hasn’t bounced back since covid. Hope it does. It’s worth it

I’m all about supporting local business. This place looks to have a lot of take out orders.
