Not a bad spot but definitely need to try more of their menu. I would not trust a good amount of the professional looking photos on their Google reviews page though. I showed up with photos of dishes I wanted to try and they told me that wasn’t theirs. Not their fault but beware! They have a pretty delicious tofu dish with rice. Their beancurd with pork and veggies is good but it was an odd mix of veggies included. Not as expected. Their noodle soup is not bad either very spicy which I enjoyed! Service is quick and efficient.

The best authentic Taiwanese food in the area. The food was delicious and very well presented. Very reasonable prices.
The building exterior does not jump out as someplace that you want to spend your hard earned money at, but ignore it’s age. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive!
I highly recommend that you stop in if you are in the area. There is no hostess so you either need to seat yourself or just flag down one of the waitresses.
Delicious food. Fast service. Great spot to eat!

I honestly don’t get why this place has such low ratings. The food is absolutely amazing and super affordable. The flavors are so authentic, and there’s this homemade vibe that makes you feel like you’re eating at someone’s kitchen table.
If you’re craving real Taiwanese food, this is the spot. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

I feel sympathy and compassion for the restaurant. The boss is kind and warm, but seemingly jaded from the years of working the restaurant. The large room which I assumed to be the old karaoke room was now occupied with scatterings of equipment, boxes, and produce lying around as the boss worked away quietly with a Chinese podcast playing on the background. The restaurant seemed unattended to—it was clean, but there was a lack of love put into the ambience. Things were laid around unsystematically, counters were in places where they had no use, and random decorations seemed out of place. The large room that was the dining hall only had around 5 tables, giving me a feeling that we were in a restaurant that was taking its last breaths (we were here at 7pm). We were also the only customers in the two hours we were there.
The waiter was a young man who seemed completely exhausted with life. He had no enthusiasm, curt responses, and shuffled around with a dreariness representative of the restaurants atmosphere.
The menu was expansive but yet the food was mediocre at best. The meat for our fatty sour soup was completely lean. And the quality of the ingredients seemed stale and left out, which makes sense since it seemed that they barely had any business.
All of the food was subpar in all dimensions—quality, execution, and freshness. In one of the qualities I care most about, there was barely any love in the food.
We ordered 12 dishes and each one was sad to get through. I thought about the people who knew they were making a mediocre product and dealing with their own problems, the boss who’s grown tired to deal with it, and the waiter who knows he’s serving mediocre dishes to guests who will only be disappointed. What is there to do with a restaurant like this but feel bad and not come?

They finally reopened for indoor dining after 1 year and I’m so happy they’re back. Edison is full of many great Chinese spots but this one is worth a visit. Food is great, prices are good and the staff is very nice.
My favorite dishes were Three Cup Chicken, Spicy Dry Pot with Beef, and Fried Squid.
Also good and pictured in photos are: Satay Beef Stir Fry Noodle, Jellyfish, Fried Porkchop, Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, and Seafood with Tofu.

Edison Noodle House has been a staple of our household for a while now. It has most definitely had its ups and downs with the owners trying to keep business alive. I can firmly say that this place is possibly the most underrated, hole in the wall, hidden gem spot one can ask for. The food is superb (水煮牛,红烧牛肉面,小辣椒牛肉面,and dumplings beat our homemade dumplings in quality and taste), and customer service is direct and straightforward. I must say that the ambiance and decor are weak spots but as a pure review for the food, it is sad and disappointing that business is not going well for this restaurant. The food is too good for this place to suffer like this.

I’d say the food here is above 4-star but not quite 5-star yet; rounded it up to five. Among the dishes we had, pork ear & dry bean curd and Taiwan style fried chicken stood out; braised pork over rice is pretty good.

This place was delicious ! Good quality, good portion, and good price. Wife got the braised beef noodle soup, I got the spicy chili beef noodle, and we shared the pork fried rice. The noodles were delicious and the fried rice was good for Taiwanese style. We were there around 8:30 pm and they were out of buns and dumplings . Maybe next time!

I’m not a noodle guy so went with the curry chicken with fried rice. My meal was delightful not not spicy. You can add more spices per request. The atmosphere was lacking. Parts of the restaurant were in need of repair such as dents and scratches on the wall behind me. However, the food met my expectations. 9.3/10
