European Bistro with an approachable feel and beautiful waterfront dining. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a brunch service on Sundays. We have an indoor dining room, outdoor heated area and a full service bar. We are still taking reservations for dinner, but feel free to just come right in for lunch. Everything was excellent, as always. For starters, the food was more delicious than ever. The crab stuffed shrimp scampi was perfection – highly recommend. My other go-to apps are the open sesame tuna and fried green tomatoes. And you can’t go wrong with the sea scallops entree. The specials are always amazing too. Their cocktails and wine selection cover all the bases as well.

The BEST food this trip! Everything was fabulous. Food/service and the atmosphere! The waitresses was so knowledgeable and kind. The restaurant was so clean. The staff seemed to love their jobs and worked well together! You don’t see that often…. The crab dip was outstanding! The bread and butter was also excellent!

Wow! A great dining experience, so much so we went 2 nights in a row! Food was palette pleasing. We both tried mussels for the first time (new menu item). Celebrated my birthday with their Mocktail & favorite dessert creme brulee. Our server, Jessica was fantastic! Knowledgeable of the menu, very hospitable. Just a joy to interact with her (both evenings)!

I highly recommend Edgewater 122! Everything from our waitress Mary, to the ambience and the food was perfect!! Mary did a fantastic job and was very attentive but not over baring, she had some recommendations that we tried and loved!! We certainly be back and I would highly recommend Edgewater 122!!

A quick little trip to Southport for some local market shopping and lunch on the water at Edgewater 122. Thankfully there was a breeze on this brutally hot day. Enjoyed a Cali shrimp cocktail with pineapple and wonton chips, bright and refreshing. Mahi sandwich was fresh with a pepper dew slaw and Nashville hot fried catfish sandwich was crisp, spicy and very filling. Nice little restaurant with no wait compared to all of the neighboring establishments.

Visiting friends in Oak Island and we went to get dinner. We were seated immediately. First time and I loved the decor and atmosphere. Gorgeous view of the water. Our waitress came and she was wonderful. We had 2 appetizers, fried tomatoes and crab duo. Both were fabulous. Food came out quickly and was hot & delicious. I highly recommend this delightful place.

So glad Fishy Fishy Cafe was busy, because otherwise we might not have tried this new restaurant! (new to us) Since Covid 19 a lot of things have changed including not being able to get a good Mahi sandwich, (nearby) my favorite! When we saw the fresh catch was Mahi, we decided to give them a shot and not having to wait for a table! The atmosphere was very nice and we were sitting by the water which is one of the reasons we visit Southport so often for lunch. (still the last place with free parking) Our waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and just about everything you want in a wait staff. She got our orders perfect and super fast, a great combination! I ordered the Blackened Mahi sandwich with homemade chips, (the only thing I was not totally crazy about) and slaw. The sandwich was to die for. To me what makes a great Mahi sandwich is of coarse the fish, but also the bun used can make or break a great fish sandwich, and this bun choice was excellent! I asked for the Dill Tarter to be on the side, which it was and it was outstanding! I’m not a fan of putting anything on a good fish sandwich other than lettuce, tomato and red onion. If the fish is good, no need for anything else! The Dill Tarter was worth the trip, I used it to dip my homemade chips, I guess for me, the chips were over salted, I think I would have liked them more if they were not so salty. The slaw, OMG was out of this world! It was sweet and had some nice kick to it! To top it off I tried a new beer from the Flying Machine Brewery. (You can read that review on the beer) I got a Tangerine Cream on tap that was so perfect, rich and refreshing, it was perfect with my Mahi sandwich. My wife got the Crab Cake Sandwich with parmesan fries. I tried a few and the Crab Cake and it was very good as well. We found out later from our waitress that Edgewater 122 also owned Fishy Fishy Cafe! Now we know why this place was so good! We’ve been going to Fishy Fishy for years, but after this great experience it will be hard to choose between the two!

This very well may be the best experience I’ve had in dining. The water view on the open sea breezy deck is just a multiplier. Hands down best taco that I have ever had. The executive chef is working on another level. I had the fresh catch which was Mahi the day I went. My server Aiana was awesome and friendly and answered all of our questions and was very engaged. If you don’t stop here for a meal you are doing yourself a disservice. Absolutely worth your time, please try this place. I’m an out of towner but I will be back, many times. Thank you to the restaurant for the experience of a lifetime! Did I mention it’s also beautiful?

Wow. What a nice addition to the Southport waterfront area. Edgewater 122 has delicious seafood, brunch, cocktails and an extensive wine list. The Seaside Cobb is a hearty bowl of veggies, bacon, egg, cheese and shrimp salad. The Bloody Mary is a meal by itself. We used to default to Fishy Fishy but will now try to get a table at Edgewater 122 whenever we come to Southport.
