The food was top notch and the Beef Wellington was outstanding. The service was great for most of the meal, but unfortunately the experience took a turn at the end.
When we received the check, we noticed the wine was priced much higher than expected. I actually didn’t notice it, but my partner looking over my shoulder did. We ordered the Joel Gott 815, which was listed at $40, but were charged $125, the price of a different Joel Gott bottle on the menu. While the waiter corrected the bill after we pointed it out, it didn’t feel great to catch a mistake like this at the end of the night, especially after a few drinks. The waiter didn’t even seem to be that apologetic after all the back and forth.
Even with great food, billing accuracy and attention to detail are part of a good hospitality, and this situation took away from what could have been a much better experience.

We walked away from our dining experience at Edge completely blown away. This was truly the best dining experience we’ve ever had. The food was amazing and the service was as well. We ordered the lobster arancini, the burrata, the elk chops entree, and the pistachio stone fruit dessert, all of which was delicious. Even the butter that comes with the bread is out of this world.
Our waitress never made us feel rushed, and we found the timing between her checking in perfect. As soon as she arrived with our bottle of wine, she gave me a wine charm for my wine glass that she handmade. It was a very nice personal touch.
Outside of the food and service, the ambience was excellent. The views overlooking the Mississippi River wetlands and horse training facility were the perfect place to sip on a cocktail and watch the sunset.
The owner/manager was friendly and attentive, checking in with each table and taking the time to chit chat about our experience. He spent the entire evening in the dining room ensuring everyone was enjoying their time.
We’re already planning our next date night back at Edge!

Wonderful experience and meal with wonderful people. The Bison Tenderloin was delicious and perfectly prepared. Ending with coffee and the warm cinnamon roll was comforting and delightful.
The people were all kind, happy to help with a rustic hometown feel. Even the owner visited us.
We dined at the chef’s table. The chef was engaging though some music would have added to the ambiance.
Prices were fair and I would return the next time I have the opportunity.

Food was amazing. Beet salad, Hokkaido scallops, truffle gnocchi and beef Wellington. All my husband and I could say each bite was WOW! Denise our server was wonderful bringing out each course one by one with a smile. Will definitely be back! I can’t imagine being in Galena and not making reservations every time.

Oh my gosh! I can’t say enough about this place. The food was absolutely phenomenal! I had the duck and my husband had the beef Wellington and we were both overwhelmed. The view at sunset is stunning and the staff is super friendly. It’s only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Galena and it’s definitely worth it! If you’re looking for an intimate setting with great service and food, this is the place to go.

What an amazing experience. The staff from the hostess, waitress, and owner were all super kind. The food was fantastic! The chef did a fabulous job with making the fall menu. The only reason I give the service a 4 star is because we waited about 20 to 30 minutes at the end for our check. Not sure what happened there. We would for sure return!

Top notch! From the moment we were greeted at the front door to the inn, we were swept away by the staff’s friendliness and attention to detail. Our server, Jocelyn, offered friendly suggestions without being overbearing and shared her insights about the chef and his creative dishes. The owners checked on us and shared the history of the inn and the restaurant. We sat on the patio overlooking the marsh (backwaters of the Mississippi River) to drink our wine before dinner and afterwards to enjoy our chef-made dessert. All four of us declared this a five-star experience.

5 out of 5 stars. Cozy and charming with a beautiful new patio. I really appreciate an actual vegetarian menu. Typically I have to choose from salads or sides, but at the Edge the chef makes sure there’s an actual season driven vegetarian menu to choose from. Everything was delicious and full or flavor. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! You enter a lovely Inn with a large wooden door, setting the atmosphere for the evening. Service was excellent, the menu has a broad and unique variety. It was hard to choose.
