It was near closing on Monday 12/22 but these guys took great care of us. The bar tender was a young lady with glasses and the guy running our food were both amazing. The food was good (you can check the pics) and the staff was incredibly friendly. Even though they were closing they didn’t rush us along and tended to everything we needed. Will be back.

The place looks nice but the service was really slow. It wasn’t too busy so there weren’t a lot of wait staff. I only came here to eat because someone else was buying.
1. Started with the house guacamole and it was blend. The chips were thick with some crispy and some soft with oil. This was disappointing.
2. The corn and chicken chowder was surprisingly good for as simple as it was. The bowl was a nice portion.
3. The best thing about the shrimp and avocado salad was the shrimp. Season nicely and not too dry. However the salad was just boring and tasteless. I had honey mustard but it wasn’t very good.
Overall the cost of food with food that was too plain and simple doesn’t make it worthwhile to come here.

I failed to get most names but all of the folks who served me in the time I was here were fantastic – kind, hospitable, and exemplary service with each visit. Notably there was a sweet gal with a pony tail, as well as gentleman named James, who were so kind when I came in 20 minutes to close.
Regardless of the time of my visit, the service here has consistently been outstanding and overtly “customer first.” I would visit time and time again just for that, but their tacos are pretty fire too.

I came to the bar tonight to grab a quick night cap and watch the Rockets game. The same is really nice and welcoming. I ordered a Classic Old Fashioned. I really appreciated the attention to the cocktail as it is easy to make and easier to mess up.

We ate here our first night. It was late and the restaurant was quiet. We ate at the bar. Jose the bar manager was incredibly helpful in chatting to us about the city, good places to eat and visit. He couldn’t have been more helpful.
Food was tasty and the kitchen were happy to vary dishes you suit.

Had the steak nachos when I arrived at the hotel and decided to get breakfast the next day. The ham cheese and egg croissant sandwich was outstanding. So was the coffee. Price point was fair as well.

The restaurant in the hotel (Edgar’s) had decent food at somewhat reasonable prices. Guilty pleasure was the short rib grilled cheese sandwich. The gentleman behind the bar was super friendly too. Surprisingly empty during my stay but maybe I missed the rush. Will be back!

Finding it was tricky because it is on the 2nd floor of the Whitehall hotel but the concierge pointed us in the right direction. Service was great. It was quiet but the food was good and hot. The portions were large for us Brits so we didn’t manage to finish our two courses so bring your appetite!

Stayed at The Whitehall Hotel and on the second floor they have the best little restaurant. Depending on your room if you get the free complementary breakfast during your stay. This is not a continental breakfast! It’s a huge serving. I love it here. The food is really good. But for me the service is outstanding. Highly recommend the restaurant even if you aren’t staying here.
