Edgar’s Bakery is a nice small bakery hidden away in the financial district in downtown Birmingham. The bakery had cute Auburn and Bama themed cookie sets on a Friday, perfect for the Saturday games. They also have freshly baked cookies, cupcakes and cakes.
I ended up deciding on getting a chocolate square and a vanilla cupcake and both were so good.
My only suggestion would be to label the cupcakes for their flavor. Of course chocolate and vanilla are easy to distinguish form others but they had a few other flavors that I didn’t know for sure what they were.

Edgar’s Bakery in Birmingham blends cozy café charm with delicious treats. The strawberry cake is a must-try, and great breakfast selection. I took the vegetable omelette and it was very good. Service was awesome staff are super nice. Overall it’s a sweet spot for cakes, coffee, and casual bites. Definitely recommended

Edgar’s Bakery is a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The amazing people that work at this location make you feel like you’re at home when you walk in the restaurant. They are known for their cakes being amazing but their food is absolutely delicious! Treat yourself to some amazing food and a delicious cupcake or some other sweet treat!

Edgar’s is an excellent stop for a downtown brunch! I had tried their baked goods before, which were phenomenal. Came in today for a breakfast wrap and holy moly it did not disappoint. My cohorts all got different items and everyone enjoyed their food in the VERY clean fast casual setting. The kitchen is open to the customer, and it’s so clean you really feel like you’re gonna get a great meal. If you go, try the “Jamaican me Crazy,” coffee. 5 stars will go again.

Nice bakery with plenty of classic options to choose from. I ordered a custom German Chocolate Cake for the holidays by phone. It was ready on time. The cake was moist and delicious. The only issue was pick up. My little cousin picked it up for me and the clerk behind the counter had a poor attitude for not reason. My cousin was only trying to order a cookie before leaving and paying for the cookie. Rude staff at this location.

Me and a couple friends came here from Minnesota. Everything was phenomenal. Got the Cheddar Biscuit which was much bigger than expected! Sugar free caramel latte was amazing (better than starbucks for sure) they offer different milk options as well. So nice. Finished with a Petite Four and was incredible. They are literally melt on your mouth good. Definitely recommended and we are planning to coming again!

I always try to find a good bakery when I go put of town. Edgar’s did not disappoint. The cake and cupcake selection was great. The cinnamon rolls was large for the price…and tasty!!

Approximately $4 for a slice of cake but worth every cent. Best desserts EVER! Food is okay, but a little expensive for sandwiches In my opinion. Breakfast options are delicious! I usually opt for the quiche of the day & side salad ($7, I think). Great breakfast potatoes sautéed with peppers & onions!! Yum!!

I came in 4.22.25 to pick up my 8 inch strawberry cake to surprise a nice coworker who bought me a delicious chocolate cake from your establishment. I was greeted nicely and my cake was absolutely perfect. I am so pleased with my cake I will certainly comeback again. This cake reminded me of a childhood memory of buying a cake at the Italian bakery in the Bronx. This was the closest experience

I used to get the veggie melt sandwich which tasted good but always came to me soggy, so I switched to the pimiento cheese. It’s normally alright but today it came to me pretty rough today (photo shows the messiness of the bottom of the sandwich and a random shmear of pesto?). I had limited time for lunch today so no chance to speak to anyone about it at the store. In general for the food, it comes out fast but the quality isn’t always that great. I eat it because it is in a convenient location, though. Also the cashier Stacey is super sweet.
