Romantic bar/restaurant with outdoor dining patio. Indoor dining is also available. Came here for a friend’s surprise engagement get-together around 8:30pm on a Friday evening and we had a group of around 20 spread across the small tables alongside the wall in the outdoor patio area. Parking was difficult – street parking may be available on the road or you’ll have to search in the neighborhoods. Credit cards are accepted. You order food/drinks at the bar and you’ll receive a number to place at your table.

Atmosphere and service can’t resolve a food problem. I ordered the Braised Short Rib with Potatoes Anna and brie. I was served a pile of plain pulled meat. The meat was stringy rather than tender and had a off flavor, that I have encountered before when meat is allowed to stand/age too long in stale air without a good spice rub. The sauce was unremarkable, as were the unseasoned potatoes, gelatinous and shaped like a sausage, buried under the meat. The brie was a chilled little slice placed on top of the meat, with no particular purpose. I ordered a side of bread so that I could give it a purpose. This dish could have been brilliant if the meat was kept whole, cooked and served in the sauce, with a trio of seasoned fondant potatoes, and the brie warmed and accompanied with crackers.

Always one of the best places to have great food and beverages. Their brunch is phenomenal. Their staff is too. Throw it all in with a cozy comfy vibe with awesome decor. It’s by far one of my favorites. I don’t know how long it’s been since I’ve been going. However, I know as long as edendale exists I’ll be a patron . It deserves 10 stars… Love it…

Love the atmosphere here, perfect for a low key meet up or a first date , or if you have a large gathering you can easily fit in the relaxed lounge patio area in back. Excellent mixed drinks

Food was not great. Not bad, but very close to mediocre. Drinks also took a very long time to get to the table despite the restaurant and bar being observably slow. Service was friendly and space is very charmingly old-school.

This is a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. Cool old building with outdoor seating, though it was too cold for that on my visit. Met friends for dinner. We had strong cocktails, lots of appetizers and some main courses. All in all a very nice experience with old friends. I really like this place. Only challenge is parking, but so what else is new in LA, right?

The host(ess) with the ridiculous outfit and the Von Dutch hat made our experience horrendous, for no reason. Checked in at 715pm while it was quite cold outside. Was told it would be a half hour, 45 mins max for a table inside. So we waited outside and had a couple hundred $ worth of drinks and appetizers while we waited for his/her text. Over 2 hours passed and that text never came. Although there were plenty of tables inside, which were easily spotted as we randomly walked through to the restroom. Upon paying the bill and leaving at almost 10pm, we asked if we could get that table inside. S/he gave us a ton of attitude, argued, said some incoherent things about his mental disability and then told us to speak to his manager while walking away and slamming the lobby door as hard as s/he could. The whole situation was childish and ridiculous. It was unusual to watch a host/ess behave like a Karen rather than a customer. Food was okay. Drinks weren’t great. Wouldn’t come back for any reason…
