Atmosphere is neat, clean & casual with Austrian style accents. Restaurant table spacing is tight, but lots of windows for light and high ceilings do make it seem roomier. The bar is in the main dining area, and summertime also offers dining in an outside patio area. Noise level is moderate to louder when it gets busy.

Overall, entrees and desserts are excellent! The Goulash is quite tasty, and the Sanddabs with spaetzle & mushrooms is well presented and flavorful. Tafelspitz was good, but not quite to par with its price. There’s solid offerings of German style beer to go with the meal such as the spicy Schussboom Dubbel, a full bodied but not too strong Hoffbrau Dunkel, or a citrusy Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen. Desserts like the Sacher Torte & Black Forest Cake, were both very good but not overly sweet.

Service was clearly short handed- 2 servers made an Olympic effort to cover all tables on a busy Saturday, which did dampen having a birthday dinner there. It meant losing track of who to seat next, no bartender meant no drinks while waiting for a table, and long waits for even a draft beer once seated. A “second round” wasn’t served until our main entrees had already been eaten. The server was apologetic and was fair about that, but more staff would have made a better experience for all.

We stopped in for a quick bite on a gloomy Sunday, and Edelweiss was the perfect choice! We were first of all, thrilled to see the Hofbräu Dunkel, one of our favorite German beers on tap. We cozied up in one of the fur-lined booths and sipped our cold beers while browsing the menu. It’s been a few years since we visited Europe, and this was a great walk down memory lane. We ordered the Belgian fries, the goulash, and the wedge salad. All three items were phenomenal; the goulash was a standout favorite, followed very closely by the fries and the salad. The service and ambiance were also five stars. We can’t wait to come back soon!

The food is amazing. I’ve been dreaming about their goulash potine ever since. The restaurant is cozy, well decorated, and even had live music when we were there. It was all great. Service was alright, our server did just enough to keep things smooth but didn’t seem like she really wanted to be there. Will absolutely be back to enjoy this place again!

I’m excited to have a good Austrian spot open up in South Reno and it does not disappoint. The decor is well done and I can’t wait for the patio to be a viable option in better weather.
They have a handful of legit beers on tap that aren’t the usual selection in town. I gave the schnitzel sandwich a go and it was super good with a satisfying side of fries. For dessert I tried the bienenstich (toffee, pastry pizza?) but I found it a bit overwhelming in the toffee section.
Our server was quick and responsive – I doubt my water ever made it to half empty.

We enjoyed everything about our visit! Hungarian goulash and Jaegerschnitzel were both delicious, and excellent quality. This is one of those great restaurants that completely nailed the atmosphere as well. It’s casual, but it still feels cozy and upscale without being pretentious, and is a great date spot. All of the employees were friendly and professional too. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely excellent. I was bummed the old pizza place here closed but now I’m totally not. This place is amazing. From atmosphere to food quality to pricing. My kids and wife loved it too. We ate the goulash, bratwurst, fries, arugula salad, asparagus, Mac and cheese and apple strudel.

I have now come here three times and all thee times have been stellar. Favorite is the goulash still. Non alcoholic beer was great too.

Move over Von Bismark, there’s a new spatzle in town!
We had to try this Austrian inspired restaurant located in the former location of the Summit Noble Pie and let me tell you, there was absolutely no regrets over our choice.

First off, the staff is incredible from the phone to the table. We called in a reservation and they were so nice with our initial request and follow up. Our server was Ari and she was as attentive as any server can be, visiting our table frequently even though the restaurant was very busy. We didn’t see anyone lacking for service in fact. They are all a well oiled machine.

The ambiance is a little Swiss Alps and very Austrian. It feels nice to be there like you really are somewhere else. We all tried different dishes and drinks. My friends started off with an Edelweiss Mule and a martini which they both loved (and can’t wait to go back!). I ordered garlic knots for the table but I had wished after the first bite that I wasn’t sharing. These aren’t just balls of bread covered in garlic, there soft, twists of bread saturated in a yummy garlic butter, with soft tiny shred of cheeses over the top and a homemade marinara that had a fresh and unique taste. One friend took the extra marinara home because no one wanted to waste it and she wants to deconstruct it’s unique flavor.

Every bite was fresh and tasty.

Our entrees were AustrIan Potato Salad, Austrian Goulash, Wild Mushroom Sand Dabs, Käsespätzle and Swiss Asparagus. The Spätzle had an incredible flavor, cooked well and a little firm (not mushy). My friends didn’t describe their food too much but thats because they were too busy chowing down.
My fish was tender, fresh and flavorful with the tiniest little mushrooms, fresh asparagus and did I mention the amazing Spätzle? Ari and the kitchen were great with accommodating my dietary restrictions (not a pepper in sight!).

I also tasted the Goulash which I’m absolutely having when I can have it again and the potato salad, which is sliced potatoes in a light vinegar with a fresh dill flavor. The potatoes were tender but not mushy. If you like that flavor, you’ll love it!

Of course we had to have dessert and choosing what to have proved to be a little difficult because they all sounded good. Half the table got the apple strudel, which was gone before I was back from the bathroom. I shared the Sacher Torte which has a delicious ganache topping, cake that is a little like carrot cake without the carrots, raisins and nuts and an apricot filling. The whipped cream is clearly made fresh and our entire meal was a demonstration in how good food can be when you don’t choose “cheap” ingredients. The quality of everything was exquisite.

My only “complaint” is that the torte could have a bit more apricot filling as it was tasty but thin and a bit overpowered by the other flavors.

Finally, as we were leaving we met the owner Monica and it’s easy to see why this place is so wonderful. She got a picture of us for their Instagram (we were movie bounding for Wicked). If you want great food, great people and great service, check out Edelweiss.

I know that we were already planning to return before we even left and that’s saying something!

I had a fantastic experience at Edelweiss Pizza Pub! The service was amazing – friendly and attentive. I even had the chance to meet the owner, who was lovely. The food was delicious – I highly recommend the fries, pizza, pretzel, and Black Forest cake. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Overall, a great spot for a delicious and enjoyable meal! 4 stars.

This is by far my most favorite place to eat at ever in Reno. Authentic, cozy, and delicious. The food at Edelweiss Pub is 10/10—especially the Gulasch and the Jäger Schnitzel. The garlic knots for an appetizer are a must-try, but nearly everything is delicious! The staff is awesome and creates such a warm, inviting environment and makes you feel like family!

Excellent small restaurant in the Summit mall. Went on a Sunday night, so it was pretty quiet, and service was fantastic. Can’t say enough about the food. We got 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and apple strudel. Everything was awesome. It’s so nice to be able to get good quality Austrian/Hungarian/Swiss/German food nearby. Their beer selection is a good mix of local and import beers and the drink menu looks enticing. Will definitely be back soon!
