Eddy’s Burgers has been serving the Rogue Valley since 1962. In January of 2018, Charles Sheckells, a Grants Pass native who returned home after living in Las Vegas for 20 years, purchased Eddy’s Burgers. His wife Francesca and their 5 children now live in Grants Pass and most of them work at the local favorite, Eddy’s Burgers. It has been their life long dream to own and operate a small 50’s Diner. Charles Sheckells in large part was responsible for the Menu and dining success of the Pioneer Saloon in Las Vegas, Nevada; whom, his father and brother own today. He has brought those delights & more to the 10 page menu here at Eddy’s Burgers. Please come and enjoy our friendly staff & family atmosphere!

It server was also very very friendly and sweet.
I would come back!
I also got a side of their ghost aoili for 2 bucks. It added a sweet creamy heat to my fires and burger. Not hot to the tongue, but it made you sweat. Very nicely done.
Our burgers came out in a very short time. Felt like 5 minutes. Everything was done properly as ordered, and we both finished our plates. Mushrooms made the burger a bit watery, but everything else was very good.
Good place to stop and grab a bite for sure. They had more than a few spicier options. I would definitely try when I return. Prices are fair for the amount of food and quality we received. Nice space with a classic diner vibe. I recommend it.
Our friends suggested they wanted to try a new burger place for a double date night. So they picked Eddy’s cuz the reviews seemed positive.
We arrived with our friends and sat down at a really grimey table.
In hindsight, we should have left before we ordered. We actually tried to leave, but were met with resistance and basically told not to go. Or at least, that’s how it felt to me.
The lady who took our order, bless her grumpy frazzled heart, was flabbergasted by a simple modification to a meal item which turned out to be more complicated than teaching a new born long division; my wife asked for a deconstructed burger without the bun or condiments with two cooked eggs. Easy enough, right?
Wrong. I don’t remember the exact words the lady taking our order said, she’d have to “check with the owner” to see if we could order items individually. Which made me feel really embarrassed. Here we are trying to have a new experience and instead this lady was giving us a really hard time in front our friends (and loud enough for two other people in the restaurant to hear).
After she was finally able to figure out how to punch our order into the iPad, and also had hand written down the order (likely for clarity to the cook), this lady intermittently scowls at our table the ENTIRE TIME we were all eating and chatting. I even caught the cook ‘mean mugging’ at us a couple times.
The food arrives. I appreciate the effort made to accommodate our dietary restrictions. But the patty was flavorless, the eggs were bland, and if I had the nerve at the time, I would have again tried to get up and leave before being unintentionally shamed again by this grumpy old lady who had very little social awareness nor a caring customer service attitude.
Anyway, as we are leaving, my wife says to her “have a great night” to which her response was, well, not so much a response, but more of a mean glare and accompanied with annoyed silence.
0/10. Do not eat here. Save yourself the time, money and potential embarrassment. Btw I’m writing this review at 4am, about 10 hours after this experience because whatever food they served us gave me serious abdominal pain that’s kept me up most of the night. The city health inspector needs to pay Eddy’s Burgers another visit. And the lady who served us needs an attitude adjustment and refresher course in proper customer service etiquette. Definitely not worth the 17 bucks for our meal.
The customer service was top notch, amazing. I will 100% be coming back!
