Eddie & Son’s delivers a pretty good cheesesteak. They have all the toppings of your dream and desires. Truffle fries were really good too. #yummy

I was about to head out to Philly and wanted to get ready for the trip with a cheesesteak from Eddies. This is likely the best in Jacksonville. Meet was more tender than the sandwich I got in Philly. My only change would be long hots for cherry peppers but overall the sandwich was better than the one I had in Philly two days later. This spot is very close to the office and too expensive to get all the time for me, but it’s NEVER MISSED. No where to sit, just grab and go. Crinkle fries (not my fave) are good and you can get old bay on them. Highly recommend.

I ordered two subs on February 20th at 2pm for me and my wife. These were the biggest and best subs we have ever gotten and we’ve ordered from here multiple times but whoever cooked them that day really did an amazing job and hooked it up! We were shocked at how much meat we had and it was delicious absolutely amazing! I order from here at least a few times a month I just can’t get enough. definitely worth every penny. bang for your buck!

Me and my bestie stopped by here for lunch last Friday and OMG!!! We split a buffalo chicken cheesesteak with truffle fries and when I tell you it was so freaking good!!! The sandwich was LOADED, seasoned perfectly, saucy and packed with cheese and flavor. The bread was soft, but not soggy, just the perfect balance. The truffle fries were really good as well, fried to crispy perfection and no lack seasonings there at all. Really yummy fries.
The wait time was a little long (40 minutes) but it was a busy Friday and I noticed that there was only one person on the grill and one cashier holding it down. So props to them for still keeping everything fresh and delicious! Overall 100% worth the wait and I’ll absolutely be back.

Stopped in for lunch while working next door. Got a classic cheese steak, came out quick and it was delicious. Highlight of my day.

I had heard that this was the BEST Cheesesteak in town, so had to try it out. When I arrived and walked in, there were 4 others waiting to recieve their food. I waited at the register for a min, was acknowledged, and said they’d be with me shortly. There were only 2 people working, one at the grill, the other was taking and assembling orders. I waited about 3-4 min, then was greeted with a smile. I placed my order for an Original Cheesesteak, with onions, mushrooms and Whiz (of course!!), a side of Old Bay fries and a root beer. Total: $24. I paid with a card, and what seemed to be a mandatory tip screen came up. I say mandatory, because the options were 10% 15% or 20% there was not easy option for none. (There was a button for “other”, but I was hungry and there were other people in line, so I just hit the 10%. Bill total: $26.50. I am normally a very generous tipper (22% or greater as a general rule) however, I believe that tipping is not automatic, but based on the level of service. Asking for a tip at a “take-out” register, before the food is picked up by me at said counter, in a paper bag, before I have tasted the food, in my opinion, is a coercion tactic, and is not fair to the consumer. I did notice a second tip jar available to put cash in, next to the register as well. Nevertheless, I waited about 15min for my sandwich and fries, and picked it up from the window, in a paper bag. The restaurant has no indoor seating, rather has a couple of square picnic tables outside. It was a gorgeous day out, so no issues here. The sandwich was hot, fresh, made correctly to my order, looked delicious, and it was! I normally don’t eat both halves, but did today. I wouldn’t consider myself a connoisseur of Cheesesteaks, but I have traveled to Philly, to try them there (Sonny’s and Geno’s), as well as New York, and Texas. If its a menu item, I will try the Cheesesteak. I have tried many here, locally in Jacksonville, and this place rates in my top 10. Was it the best in town? Although delicious, Id have to honestly say no. It is a top 3, behind Carmines Pie House (Riverside) and Philly’s Finest (beach). I made a special trip from the Westside today to try this sandwich. I would come back, but only if I was in the area. This is a solid 4.5 star sandwich. Best of luck in YOUR search for the best Philly!

I love the simplicity and quality. Keep making the best sandwiches around. I got a Philly hoagie and it was the best. Great quality meat. Perfect flavor. Great portion. Worth it.

Went to Eddis & Sons Cheesesteaks today for lunch. Originally we were going to grab Mr. Taco, but they were not open so we went next door. We’ve never been before but have heard great things about here. Our 2 cheesesteaks and truffle fries came to just under $40 with no drinks. We both enjoyed our sandwiches, but it wasn’t like “omg out of this world” type of good. If I lived in the area, I’d probably stop in once in awhile for a cheesesteak. But I don’t think I’d make a special trip across town for them. All-in-all, they’re good. I can see why people love them so much. Either way, if you like cheesesteaks, they’re worth a stop.

I recently visited Eddis & Sons Cheesesteaks and left with mixed feelings. Let’s start with the positives – the food was undeniably delicious. The cheesesteaks were cooked to perfection, with the right balance of meat, cheese, and toppings. Each bite was a flavorful experience that left me craving more.
However, the service left much to be desired. The lady working at the register seemed disinterested and unhelpful. It was evident that she lacked enthusiasm for her job and didn’t go out of her way to assist customers. Her demeanor detracted from the overall experience and left me feeling disappointed.
In conclusion, while the food at Eddis & Sons Cheesesteaks is definitely worth trying, improvements in customer service could greatly enhance the dining experience. Hopefully, they can address these issues to provide a more satisfying visit for future customers.

This place is legit. I got a plain steak and cheese, waited 20 mins to place my order, but it was worth the wait! Great roll, real cheese steak. I definitely recommend. The line is long when you get there and they are a little disorganized, so bring your patience and just know it’s worth the effort. Great job Eddis! Oh, and you can only eat outside, you should know that.
