Hands down my favorite pub in Arlington Heights! The atmosphere is exactly what a local spot should be. A huge shout-out to Dan and Mikaela behind the bar—they are fast, friendly, and always make you feel welcome the second you walk in. Our waitress Kelsey was also fantastic; she’s incredibly attentive and kept the drinks and food coming without a hitch. If you want great service and a chill vibe, this is the place.

I’ve had many regrettable restaurant experiences in my life but this one really takes the cake.

I called a week ahead of time and asked when would be a good time to bring in a part of 9. They told me 430 might have a wait and to come at 4. The day of, I called at 315 and I said we were coming in at 4 and they confirmed that was a good time. We arrived and were seated in the back room at a table for 9 set up by the staff.

The hostess came back in the room completely discombobulated and told us that we can’t sit in tables set up like this. We explained that we didn’t set up the room like this…

Ten minutes later, the manager arrives and tell us we need to leave the room and we aren’t suppose to be sitting in here until at least 5. I explained the situation and she said that no one would have set up like this or allow us to be in this room. We told her who sat us there and she said that he doesn’t really work there…huhhhhh??????

She kicked us out of the table with are party of 9 including our 16 month old daughter and said we would need to wait until later.

Never in my life I’ve been so disrespected and disappointed while trying to eat out with my family. Needless to say I wont be visiting Eddies again.

Stay away from here. The most baffling, awful experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We called ahead twice to bring our party for fish fry. We were told that 4:30 gets too busy and to come at 4:00. We called again before we left home to confirm we were still good to come in and they said yes.

We arrived and a man sat us in the back room where there were tables pushed together and chairs ready for us. The bartender (?) then came back giving us attitude and asking us why we moved their tables. She was clearly already upset and we told her that the man at the front sat us here and the tables were all set up already. She brought us pitchers of water.

Then, the manager came by and accused us again of moving the tables and seating ourselves. She told us that we made the bartender cry and no one sat us. I told her about the man who guided us back and she said “there’s no man working here”.

??????

So either a regular who thought he was being funny moved the tables and sat us pretending to work there, or the staff have no idea what they’re doing. I don’t expect much from a dive bar but it was clear both of the staff thought we were lying and sat ourselves. They asked us to “get back in line” and wait at the bar. They’re busy on Fridays so I guess they’re able to just insult customers and throw them out and claim that their staff doesn’t exist. It was beyond unprofessional and insulting and I would never recommend anyone go near this place.

Dined last night. Had heard good comments at health club so we thought we would try it out on a very cold night in February. Very disappointed. We ordered the soup of the day which the waitress did not know. We also ordered the Rueben sandwich. Both the soup and entree was delivered at the same time. Beef barley tasted off. Chicken base, very yellow in color and had a spice, similar to a curry taste. Served lukewarm with maybe 3 tiny pieces of beef. Should have called it barley soup instead. The sandwiches were disappointing as well. See photos. Maybe 2 slices of corn beef. Bread toasted well, but hardly a decent portion size sandwich. The waitress was friendly at first and then started to get an attitude. Food runner was much more accommodating and seemed more interested in taking care of the customer. A very over served patron was at first booth slumped over upon entering and exiting the restaurant. Atmosphere is loud and this is your local neighborhood bar. Parking on street hard to find. Won’t go back.

I came here during Adult Lego Night and we had small appetisers. The food was actually pretty good for it being bar food. Nice little local bar in DownTown Arlington Heights.

Randomly stopped in for Sunday lunch with Wife. Had Ocean Perch. Best I have had in a long time. Perfect in every way. Food Delicious! Service from our bald bartender 100% on point. Cost was unbelievable for portion and flavor. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun atmosphere and love good food. Heard others sitting around us stating the same about their orders. Corned beef was heard to be top-notch. Overall, definitely recommend!!! Picture is of plate after almost half already consumed

Eddie’s is basically a neighborhood bar downtown Arlington Heights. They are on Northwest Highway across from the Metra train station. Parking is on the street, free with a 2 hour time limit.

We ordered the ayce Fish that’s offered both Wednesday’s and Friday’s. Lake perch was served with coleslaw, fries or tater tots and a slice of garlic bread. I did the onion rings for an up charge.

Fish was plentiful and tasted pretty good. Accompanying tartar sauce was blah. Fries were just ok. Onion rings could have been better as a couple were clumped together and a little undercooked in spots. Coleslaw was good and had a slight taste of horseradish. Just average nothing more to write home about.
