I called a week ahead of time and asked when would be a good time to bring in a part of 9. They told me 430 might have a wait and to come at 4. The day of, I called at 315 and I said we were coming in at 4 and they confirmed that was a good time. We arrived and were seated in the back room at a table for 9 set up by the staff.
The hostess came back in the room completely discombobulated and told us that we can’t sit in tables set up like this. We explained that we didn’t set up the room like this…
Ten minutes later, the manager arrives and tell us we need to leave the room and we aren’t suppose to be sitting in here until at least 5. I explained the situation and she said that no one would have set up like this or allow us to be in this room. We told her who sat us there and she said that he doesn’t really work there…huhhhhh??????
She kicked us out of the table with are party of 9 including our 16 month old daughter and said we would need to wait until later.
Never in my life I’ve been so disrespected and disappointed while trying to eat out with my family. Needless to say I wont be visiting Eddies again.
We arrived and a man sat us in the back room where there were tables pushed together and chairs ready for us. The bartender (?) then came back giving us attitude and asking us why we moved their tables. She was clearly already upset and we told her that the man at the front sat us here and the tables were all set up already. She brought us pitchers of water.
Then, the manager came by and accused us again of moving the tables and seating ourselves. She told us that we made the bartender cry and no one sat us. I told her about the man who guided us back and she said “there’s no man working here”.
??????
So either a regular who thought he was being funny moved the tables and sat us pretending to work there, or the staff have no idea what they’re doing. I don’t expect much from a dive bar but it was clear both of the staff thought we were lying and sat ourselves. They asked us to “get back in line” and wait at the bar. They’re busy on Fridays so I guess they’re able to just insult customers and throw them out and claim that their staff doesn’t exist. It was beyond unprofessional and insulting and I would never recommend anyone go near this place.
We ordered the ayce Fish that’s offered both Wednesday’s and Friday’s. Lake perch was served with coleslaw, fries or tater tots and a slice of garlic bread. I did the onion rings for an up charge.
Fish was plentiful and tasted pretty good. Accompanying tartar sauce was blah. Fries were just ok. Onion rings could have been better as a couple were clumped together and a little undercooked in spots. Coleslaw was good and had a slight taste of horseradish. Just average nothing more to write home about.
