The restaurant has been open in Charlotte for as long as I can remember. Each time you drive by it is always full. Now I know why! I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and had a 10 minute wait which isn’t bad. Once in the restaurant it was busy with waiter / waitresses taking orders and bringing food out to tables. I had a cup of gumbo which was excellent!!! The main dish was black beans and rice with shrimp. Absolutely delicious ! Everything was worth the wait. If you are in the area stop in and get some amazing tasting food!

Waited 10 minutes. Sat. Server took our drink order and asked we were ready to order. We didn’t even look at the menu.
Once we ordered it was off the races for the kitchen. We ordered the she crab soup. It was good, would have been nice if it was hotter in temp. As soon as I had my spoon in the soup our salads came out. Then half way through having our salads our food came out. Personally for me, I don’t like to be flooded with food like that. However, this may be a way they keep turning tables.
Their version shrimp and grits was good with ample amount of shrimp. Rice and beans was way too spicy. The shrimp were so seasoned that the season crunched as you bit in. This dish was a fail.
When you find yourself commenting on how good the bread is more then the meal itself should be an indicator of food quality.
At least for me, I didn’t see any love with any of the food.
But beyond that, the fact the food was rushed made it less enjoyable dining experience.
While this may be a perfect neighborhood bar, I probably would not go back.

For myself I ordered the build your own burger with a side of fries. It was good. My parents both ordered pasta and enjoyed it. My daughter demolished her kids burger and fries. My other children wanted the chicken tender with a side of fries. They enjoyed them!

Everyone has gotta try this place. I thought it was more of a very generic southern breakfast place before actually getting here, was I mistaken! This place is more like a local, upscale, hole on the wall that serves drinks and smashing good food!
Had the assignment Benedict, which was great! Sauce wasn’t broken, ham was not to salty, homefries good and the homemade hash was killer.
Wife has the South Chicken+Gravy biscuit. She smashed that thing! Coffee was flowing, atmosphere was cool and chill. 10000% know why this place stays busy as heck! Absolutely a MUST TRY on CLT.

Clarity Sight Sound Design
I have many experiences here, and they are all the same. Eddies is the example of a perfect family restaurant. Service is amazing. This is the place that knows my name, knows what I like, knows my family and their unique needs. We bring all out of town friends here. This place represent why I fell in love with Charlotte. I make new friends almost every visit. Then the food is always consistent while somehow being better than everywhere else. The menus isn’t ground breaking but doesn’t need to be because execution is fantastic. Never had a bad meal! When mistakes are made they are fixed with grace. Can’t say enough about the staff, food, service and environment. God bless this neighborhood icon!

I’m totally blown away by the level of quality and taste of the food here. The service was truly exceptional. We were greeted at the front door. The food was delicious there was no way we were going to not take the leftovers with us. Please don’t sleep on this place. If you do you will be very sorry.

Had brunch here today and I’m so glad we discovered this hidden gem! The chicken and waffles were perfection — crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Our waitress went above and beyond, making the experience even better with her friendly attitude and great service. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall a good experience. They were pretty busy when I got there close to lunch time. Possibly short-staffed as I only seen a couple servers so it took a bit for me to get waited on. Wasn’t a big deal as I had nowhere to be.
The atmosphere was very inviting and lively. Restaurant seem to be clean upon entry and at least everywhere I saw.
I ordered the chicken and waffle what’s shredded hash browns. The food was good but didn’t overwhelm me. It tasted pretty standard in terms of having this entree at other places. I would recommend getting it if you go there but I did feel the chicken they used could be more seasoned to give some additional flavor. The cinnamon butter is a nice touch so I use that with syrup but I prefer having the seasoned chicken mix in with that taste to get the taste buds going.
Definitely somewhere I’ll come back to and try other things when I’m in the area. Prices are very reasonable and one of the few places I have found that actually serve a side item with the chicken and waffle entree. I came on February 6th at 6pm and waited maybe 15 mins and the host was very accurate about the wait time. My server was Cat and she was absolutely amazing. I could tell she was busy but she was very attentive and very helpful. The wait for the food was maybe 10 mins at most. On the way out the hostess even held the door for us. This is a family restaurant and I came here with my son who’s 19 months old and this is my new favorite spot in charlotte.
