Eddie’s Italian Eatery is all about Italian American Inspired Cuisine. On their quest for a better life in America, many Italians passed through Ellis Island in New York at the turn of the 19th Century, and while some ended up staying, many traveled to other parts of the United States. Now in a new country, Italian immigrants were forced to use local products to create the hearty and satisfying dishes they were used to making at home in Italy. Most of these dishes evolved and took on taste profiles unique to the local communities. Here at Eddie’s Italian Eatery we offer some of these dishes that reflect this adapted style of Italian cooking, creating a different type of Italian food, one called Italian-American.
Italian staples like pizza, pasta & veal in casual digs with checkered tablecloths & vintage photos.

This is a local pizza and pasta joint in Claremont. For your desire to eat some pizza parlor fare it is good. Pricing is bit higher than I expected since the menu was not of high gourmet variety. I spent about $50 for a big pasta, side salad and ice water. It would serve everyone better if the seafood ingredients were more fresh and flavorful as the seafood pasta tasted underwhelming. Wait staff are excellent and attentive. I believe if you stick to the basics I.e. pizza and pasta, you will be fine. There is enough parking in the strip mall.

We used to come here all the time because we loved it, especially their bread! We moved out of the area and 7 years later decided to dine here again. It wasn’t the same. They changed their bread to round rolls and you only get 1 roll each as they charge for each additional basket of bread. They used to serve their yummy sourdough bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and butter, but this time, only a saucer full of olive oil. The roll wasn’t tasty at all. The antipasto salad wasnt very good and my main dish was luke warm. The server had the back room to herself so needless to say, she was rushed and not very friendly. Everything changed including higher prices. I dont know if there was a change in ownership, but it was so disappointing. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

It’s our first time to eat here. I would have given it 5 stars but a few of the food we wanted to order were not available. We changed our order to the chicken marsala. Vodka rigatoni, stuffed shells, caramel apple cannoli and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. The service was amazing.

My friends and I dined at Eddie’s Italian Eatery back on 11/30/24. I had something called Chicken Fonduta (the first photo). It was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered too. As an added bonus, our waiter / server was quite attentive. I’ll definitely go back.
Just a note… I substituted the default pasta for fettuccine with my Chicken Fonduta. I recommend the substitution.

First time going here and it felt like I had been going here for years! The staff was very friendly and made you feel like family. Kaitlyn was our server and she was very informative about the dishes and gave a very good description of what we asked her about. We decided on the trio appetizer which I chose the calamari, garlic knots, and waffle fries. All very good. We ordered a side salad which was brought with some dinner rolls. So by the time we finished that our entrees arrived! We ordered the classic lasagna and the pasta with meat Bolognese. Of course we took a few bites since we were already full! But that’s ok cause we took it to go. Also took home the tiramisu and the s’mores cannolis. All scrumptious!! Very flavorful and made with love☺️

1st time here and the food was Delicious…it did take a minute to get our food and it wasn’t that busy but other than that our waiter was super friendly, atmosphere was great and most importantly the food didn’t disappoint at all! We had the Detroit style pan pizza, fettuccine alfredo, and the lasagna everything tasted homemade!

The food was outstanding! I was really craving some good pasta, heard about Eddies and figured today was the day to try it.
The Lasagna was so delicious, it was just a great balance of flavors and seasoning. The sauce was great. Nice size portion as well.
The Spaghetti with marina sauce and meatballs was great! Again, great balance of flavors and seasoning, the sauce was on point!
Meatballs were seasoned well and were moist, good size, as well.
Spaghetti with meat sauce and Italian sausage was on point! Very delicious and seasoned just right.
Staff were very friendly and polite, this is definitely our new favorite Italian restaurant. If you haven’t tried, you have to stop by.
*We love extra sauce, so I asked for extra sauce for each.

Fantastic Italian food! We started w/ the garlic puffs that were crispy on the out and soft n warm inside , and the garlic oil and then we shared the” three course for two” Cesar salad ,Roma penne pasta and a Detroit style Eddies specialty pizza. Highly recommended Italian place. Very cute and warm atmosphere.
Just got back from another wonderful lunch at Eddie’s but I need some clarification if someone can help.. I’ve been here about six times. Half the time bread is served, half the times we have to ask . Is the bread complimentary? Is it only with lunch, only with dinner, only with certain meals?
Had a wonderful Father’s Day meal. Started it off with a fried mozzarella, then their signature fish dish. Absolutely amazing highly recommended

Went there on a Sunday around noon. The place is clean. We were greeted right away and seated soon after. For starters, we ordered the fried calamari. For our main dish, my husband ordered the lasagna, and I ordered the chicken marsala with capellini pasta. We also ordered one of their March specials, which is a large pastrami pizza to go, for the kiddos. The fried calamari was great. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. Came with marinara sauce and a slice of lemon. My husband said his lasagna was pretty good. When I tasted it, the sauce tasted like old sauce, maybe mixed in with fresh sauce. My chicken marsala was good. It had a lot of tender chicken, and the sauce was awesome. Now, let’s get to the pastrami pizza. At $28.95 for a large, I would expect a little bit more pastrami. I felt like I was paying $28.95 for mustard and pickles. Very disappointing. I understand everything is expensive nowadays, but for a tab of over $100, we didn’t even get any bread. There were no refills on the ice tea, and I had to wait for a long time for a very expensive pizza even though we ordered it when we ordered the rest of our food.
