Catfish came with fries slice of onion and small coleslaw, pickles and hush puppies. I would call it a large portion.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars — This Place Saved the Trip

Let me set the scene. We were heading to Callaway Gardens to pick up some Vintage jewelry (I’ll talk about that later), when I discovered that the Oyster House — the seafood spot I was counting on — was permanently closed according to Yelp.

I was devastated. Like… fully prepared to cancel Pine Mountain altogether. I was having a whole moment.

Then I did a little digging and found out that Eddie Mae’s Kountry Kitchen & Oyster Bar had the same owner. I found this out before we arrived, and I knew immediately — we HAD to stop there.

And let me tell you… January 3, 2026 — this is all I needed in my life.

This is GOOD seafood.
Like, really good seafood.
Freshly cooked. Hot. Flavorful. Done right.

The service? AMAZING.
The people? Warm, genuine, country hospitality at its finest.
The vibe? Real, welcoming, and comfortable — no nonsense, just good food and good people.

Food. Service. Atmosphere. People. Clean restaurant. Clean restrooms.
Five stars across the board.

I’ll be honest — I will never come to Pine Mountain again unless I know Eddie Mae’s is open. I need y’all to hang in there with me because otherwise I can’t even travel outside of Atlanta for real.

If you want legit seafood, incredible service, and that authentic country goodness — this is the place.

We visited on a morning in December. The coffee was brewed fresh and served piping hot. We got the breakfast buffet, and our options included eggs (good, just a little watery), sausage links and patties (yum), tater tots (seasoned well, but overcooked), grits (good and southern), corned beef hash (simple and warm), and French toast sticks. We sampled nearly everything! Overall, the food was good, so we left satisfied and warmed up. The servers were busy, but they were hospitable and kind. We would return and eat here again.

Good ole southern food. I wish Atlanta had a great southern restaurant like this one. I will be back when in town.

Got the buffet. Eggs tasted like powdered eggs, couldn’t get bacon on the buffet, tater tots tasted like they’d been cooked in old grease, pancakes were hard, coffee wasn’t good. Sorry for the bad review but our waitress was great. We ate here before and it was great. Seems like they are trying to go cheaper but it definitely wasn’t worth $11.95. Ants all over the table.

Had breakfast here, including omelette and egg bowl. The food was good. Waitress was very nice. Bathrooms needed cleaning. Able to use CC and add tip but cashier entered a higher amount than what I verbally told her. I wasn’t going to waste time over it but be aware that they enter it the card reader and don’t have it accessible to you.

Something must have happened since all of the good reviews because everything was horrible! My husband got the breakfast buffet and the French sticks were so hard they were like trying to eat a stick no joke! 3 of our orders were wrong , not at all what was ordered. Bacon was possibly turkey bacon (not real bacon) hash-browns burnt on one side cold on the other, omelet (this is one of the orders that wasn’t right, didn’t even order a omelet, but when it takes 50 min to get your order you don’t send it back, scrambled egg with cheese and ham on top that has not been cooked at all still cold and the egg just folded over the top.) Out of 8 people in our group not one of our orders was good. Not one person we dealt with was friendly.

My wife had a sausage biscuit, while I indulged in the buffet. The coffee was decent. The highlight of the buffet was definitely the biscuits and gravy—fluffy and delicious. The sausage and eggs were solid, but the French toast sticks and tater tots were a bit stale, though still tasted fine. Ordering off the menu might have been a better option for fresher fare. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend it!
