Eda’s made up for the subpar pies they sold me. They have plenty of good reviews so don’t let mine scare you away from giving them a shot and making your own judgment. They are an honest business. I think you can rest assured that if they mess your order up, they’ll make it up to you.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for months. Finally decided to treat the family to pizza night.
Unfortunately this pizza was bad…..like very bad. I don’t think the pizza they gave me was representative of their normal quality, but that’s solely based on their Instagram posts and other people’s reviews.
Yes, I know what New Haven style pizza is. Yes, I know what well-done pizza is.
This was neither of those things.
I like a little char on my crust. I like bubbles. This was more than a char. We threw more than half of it away, which I never throw food away.
I spent $61 there and I regret every cent of it that wasn’t spent on the Hank’s Cream Sodas lol.
Again, I think it was an off-night for them, but I can’t give this place more than 1-star. I hope others have a better experience.
– [ ] New Haven tomato – because we had to try it

They have heart and are trying to make a New Haven pie. It is just not there. There were some dark spots, but it was so limp and had a slight crispiness to it we all felt disappointed. And it was missing that distinctive char.
They don’t have coal-fired ovens, a prerequisite for a NH pie.
The next day, I heated it on 550 pizza steel, and it crisped up nicely. Maybe they rushed to get the pies out on a busy Friday night.
I wish they had a clam pie to try, and the guy said they are hoping to get one. There’s something about the original Frank Pepe’s ovens that can’t be replicated here in Philly.
Don’t get me wrong, it was a solid pie but maybe call it “New Haven” with the quotes to warn those who know what New Haven pizza is so they go in better armed.
For the area, I would go to a few other places first, Paulie Gees and Pizzeria Vetri, to name a few.
