The food was outstanding. We started with the amazing Sesame Crusted Tuna appetizer: perfectly seared, fresh ahi with a vibrant Fresno pepper coulis, pickled scallions, and a bright arugula-radish salad that popped with flavor. The Grilled Beef Skewers were a revelation – tender dry-aged NY strip paired with that addictive peppadew and blue cheese fondue, grilled to juicy perfection.
For mains, the salmon and shrimp salads were fresh, generous, and beautifully balanced: flaky grilled salmon and plump shrimp over crisp greens with thoughtful dressings and seasonal touches that made every bite refreshing yet satisfying.
Everything felt skillfully executed with high-quality ingredients. Eclipse Bistro nails elevated yet approachable New American cuisine. We’ll definitely be back soon – highly recommend for a delightful lunch with friends!
Quality and flavor of the meals is a guaranty.
Place is nice but at times crowded and noisy, which is is OK but to keep in mind if you want to have a more quiet dinner.
Atmosphere is nice and comfortable.
It general terms this is a good option for a nice dinner with business, family or friends.
The fries were good, crisp but still soft on the inside.
The chicken sandwich was bland. The chicken patty was big and not seasoned enough itself and there wasn’t that much slaw. I did take the sandwich to go and they forgot the pickle so I don’t know if that would have fixed it.
We also shared the grilled salmon, one of the evening specials. The salmon was deliciously grilled and sat on a bed of arugula, cannelonni beans, sweet corn (and some other ingredients I can’t remember right now) that included a red pepper colored sauce which complimented the salmon very well. This dish was exceptional (5).
We ended the meal by sharing the eclipse banana split dessert (5) and a cappuccino each (5).
The room was a bit noisy, but I didn’t care bc the food was so good! Our server, Demetrius, was excellent (5). I will be asking for him the next time we dine there. Also, we arrived without a reservation around 6:00 pm. The maitre’d quietly asked us if we could be finished by 7:30, the time that table was reserved for. It wasn’t a problem since we just arrived in Wilmington this afternoon and picked this place off the internet. I’m very glad we did. I asked to see a lunch menu (picture included) in case we go back for lunch.
