Ecco Domani Italian Restaurant, located in the Coopersburg Commons, serves classic Italian dishes and pizza in a relaxed, casual setting. It’s open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday until 10:00 PM, and Sunday until 9:00 PM.

I’d heard this place mentioned a few times and was looking to try a new Italian spot, so I decided to check it out. While the experience wasn’t terrible, the food was largely mediocre and far from impressive.

My friend and I started with the California clam chowder, pasta fagioli, and the complimentary bread. The soups were hot and hearty, and the bread was fresh and served with garlic and oil. This ended up being the best part of the meal.

The first appetizer we tried was the fried calamari. Unfortunately, it was undercooked and rubbery. I ended up boxing it up after a few bites, hoping it would fare better reheated at home.

Our second appetizer was the stuffed mushrooms, which arrived sitting in a noticeable amount of liquid. This excess moisture took away from both the presentation and texture of the dish.

For my entrée, I went with the chicken Milano, pan-seared chicken breast served with sautéed mushrooms in a creamy apricot brandy sauce. While the chicken was tender and the sauce had good flavor, the dish came out far too soupy.

My friend opted for the chicken penne vodka. Once again, the chicken was tender and the pasta cooked just right, but the sauce fell on the bland side. It lacked the rich, creamy consistency we typically look for in a vodka sauce.

Service was fine and fairly standard, but with so many great restaurants out there, this one feels like a once-and-done visit.

Okay. Before im hated for my review please hear me out. I have had food here before. Im not a huge fan of the pizza but my wife is. I decided to get pizza for the superbowl and I know it would be busy so I placed a pre-order for 6pm at 11am when they open. I ordered one plane pie and one chicken parm dinner.

I get there at 550 and my pizza is already done and sitting on top of the oven. Im told the chicken parm is not done but they handed me my pizza. The box felt cold like its been done for a while. We’ll 30 minutes later im finally given my food and I get home and pizza is burnt, cold and no bread for my meal. Never going back. Over priced, understaffed for mediocre pizza

After a Brutally Honest Lehigh Valley post recommending this Italian restaurant, we headed there day after Memorial Day.
One of the owners, AL, greeted us and he offered a bit of information to help explain the menu items. He set us up until our server stepped in to give us great service.
We ordered a cheesesteak, a slice of their tri colored Sicilian slice, the Eggplant Involtini featuring the highly praised Vodka sauce over Angel hair pasta and the homemade rigatoni with side of 2 meatballs.
We enjoyed it all.
In future, I’d ordered the Eggplant Involtini separate from the pasta side because then more sauce would be served with it.
The meatballs were a basic mix to please most palates. Nice side salad of mixed green accompanies most entrees.
The round flat rolls with olive oil.
We passed this strip mall on Route 309 numerous times and never had a clue this gem was tucked between Giant and Subway off of Fairmount.
I’m recommending this place and would definitely give it a go.

Consistently good food and good service. My favorite Italian restaurant.

Update: December 2021
Just want to say I’ve been back here several times now and still love and appreciate the food here. I’ve brought different friends for them to enjoy… it’s been unanimous…we all truly like Ecco Domani, the food and the service. Thank you for doing it all so well.

May 2019… Great Italian fare, just wish it was closer to home. Off our beaten path, so we forget about it at times and have to remind ourselves to make the trip…and it’s worth it. Was last there with a special friend, who is also an Italian from Brooklyn, NY and so we certainly know and appreciate good Italian food, we had a wonderful dinner to celebrate a special birthday. So all I can say is…Try it..you’ll like it.

This fine place was recommended to us by a friend, and we have been regulars ever since. The food is excellent (Filet Marsala…yes!), and the service is always prompt and friendly. Don’t forget to Bring Your Own!

When you first enter it might look pretty average or small but after sitting down you’ll realize it actully pretty good! And the food was great! Various selections for sandwiches, pasta, soups, and pizza! I We ordered some fries but the cheese was actully mozzarella and not cheddar like we initially thought, so look out for that! The children’s menu has maybe only 6-7 things and shorts compared to the other things on the menu. The timing for when our god came out was really different, We ordered two soups, the cheese fries, and some bread which came out quickly but when me and my wife were done with our soups, my daughter was still waiting for meal and we were still waiting for our sandwiches (which were huge by the way! Better to just get the sandwiches and not the soups because it becomes pretty heavy).

I placed an order for take-out via telephone. The representative who answered was extremely discourteous, almost to the point of making me terminate the call. Upon arriving home with our order, the biconcave pizza was satisfactory; however, the Pasta Fagioli soup was unacceptable. The vegetables within the soup were notably under cooked.

Food is great and really big portions. The red sauce isn’t too acidic which I really enjoy. I had a stromboli and it was filled with with a bunch of toppings, they obviously don’t skimp on ingredients.
