We joined on the Saturday before the snow storm. It was packed and you needed a reservation for a normal table. We sat in the bar area though and it was fine! I ordered a lychee martini and we both built our own ramen.

I had rice noodles to make it GF friendly. I enjoyed my choice of spicy miso.

Overall a good option for GF friendly- rice noodle- ramen for the area

Great food! I had udon noodles. My husband and son had Ramen & my daughter had a sushi bowl. For appetizers we had these doughy bun filled yummy things that looked like puffy tacos. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was very delightful!

Came in for a late lunch. Service is awesome. The waitstaff is very friendly and nice.

However we are disappointed at the shrimp tempura. It came with three shrimps with a thick batter not the same as the veggies batter. The veggie batter was a bit more light and flaky.

We ordered two spicy miso ramen with chashu.
Firstly the ramen noodles are not authentic. They are like frozen sun noodles. Soft and not chewy. Miso broth tasted like miso soup without depths of flavors. Very diluted and not delicious.

Chashu pieces were just ok.
The best was the soft boiled eggs. They came with two halves and the runny egg yolk was cooked perfectly!

Iced Thai tea was very small and with too much ice!

Overall food experience was C. Everything took so long to come out esp the ramen.
Very disappointing meal!
Wouldn’t come for ramen. Maybe something else on the menu is better?!

Had a craving for some GOOD Japanese curry today, so stopped at this place for the first time. Did not disappoint!!! It was thick and flavorful, delicious!! I don’t think there were potatoes in there? (maybe there were, and I just devoured them too quickly to notice) but that would be my only critique. Side of brussels sprouts were great too. Will definitely be back to try the ramen!

-Nagasaki champon $17 disappointed it was not authentic champon but was not bad as a ramen dish. Served with ramen noodle instead of thicker champon noodle, and broth was not creamy pork-bone rich for champon.
-Hiyashi chuka $18 was not authentic either. Ramen was undercooked and came with more toppings than ramen, and flavor was not right but appreciate their effort to meet our requests to make it right.
-appetizers karaage $9 was over fried and hard, agedashi Tofu $7 was ok.
Will reserve Nagasaki champon for my next visit to NYC…

I ordered chicken katsu with curry lunch special and spicy honey miso chicken wings for takeout. Everything taste fresh and delicious. Its nice to have a restaurant in RI that focuses on Japanese cuisine because not many here. Did not wait long for pickup. Server was friendly and professional. A takeout advice, order from their website or call in.

I’d like to start off by saying that I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews because maybe they just had an off night. The pictures and reviews seemed really great so I thought I’d give them a try. I ordered the spicy miso pork belly ramen… Not great. The broth wasn’t flavorful or spicy. Noodles tasted like instant ramen noodles. Pork Belly was tough and the fat was extremely chewy and off-putting. The fat should practically melt in your mouth and meat should be tender. All in all just a pretty poor ramen experience.

We were very excited to come here and while the waitstaff is wonderful, the food was disappointing. The miso ramen tasted off and came out somewhere between cold and lukewarm. The chicken karage tasted like it was frozen and reheated and it was tough and bland. The green tea and seaweed salad were lovely.

Solid place for Ramen, especially if you get the 30hr (pork) broth!
Some of the other food items are not too special, and downright unbalanced with the salt level, or it’s just one-note.
Dining area is a but bland, but they do have this cute wall of illustrations donated by kids who done there.

Big props to the manager who is always there, and always in a great and positive mood. Very hands on! The rest of his staff betray him.
