The seasoning and flavor combinations were a bit different in a good way—some dishes had a creative touch without being overdone. Everything tasted fresh, and the menu has a lot of variety, so it didn’t feel repetitive at all.
Overall a very satisfying experience. Definitely a good spot if you want more than just basic rolls.
They have one of the best deals for AYCE sushi. One person can order the Premium Menu AYCE and another can order the Regular Menu AYCE and share the premium items. So that is what we did. The premium items are more than enough to share and then you still have plenty of room to get items from the regular menu.
The new style sashimi, small plates and nigiri on the Premium Menu are all worth it. And a great way to start our meal.
On the regular menu we got several small plates. The chicken katsu and salmon tempura were great. The baked mussels were the stand-out. They are mixed with scallops and crawdads and we had to get another order.
The regular menu nigiri was high quality. We loved it all especially the salmon and pepper salmon. They were both fatty and buttery.
Such a great place for AYCE sushi and cannot wait to come back and eat here again.
Pricing:
• Weekday lunch $29.99
• Weekday dinner $36.99
• Weekend $39.99
• Premium $49.99
You can mix Regular & Premium at the same table, which is a huge plus.
Favorites:
• Premium items: Pepper Salmon, Salmon Belly, Bay Scallop, Unagi
• Sashimi: Halibut, Albacore, Octopus, Jumbo Scallop
• Cooked dishes: Soft-shell crab, Salmon/Yellowtail collar, Beef bulgogi, Mussels, Shrimp tempura
Fish-to-rice ratio is great, nothing overly sweet or heavy. Our group actually skipped rolls because the sushi was good enough on its own.
Spacious interior, clean, and dishes come out fast. Overall, a reliable AYCE spot we’d return to.
Note: Costa Mesa location is à la carte only.
We tried the Premium set, and everything came out fast and beautifully plated. Super fresh sashimi with different sauces — so good!
Honestly one of the best AYCE sushi spots I’ve been to. Great weekday deals too. Totally worth checking out!
The price is really reasonable! Monday to Friday lunch is only $29.99, dinner is $36.99, and weekends are $39.99. If two people come together and one orders Premium while the other orders Regular, you can actually share and mix items from both menus! How thoughtful is that?
You have 2 hours to eat, so as soon as we sat down, we ordered all the Premium limited items first Their sashimi is fresh. The salmon avocado blue crab roll was absolutely divine—I’m officially obsessed! The soft-shell crab was also amazing, honestly better than what I’ve had at many regular sushi spots. After three rounds of ordering, we were completely stuffed
Our Server Chaw, she is such an angel . Not only she gives good recommendations but also super attentive. The service is professional & pleasant, absolutely A+! JP definitely leads a great team. Great customer service always brings back loyal customers.
The Food: When it comes to sushi, I am always indecisive what to order. AYCE sushi will be the perfect solution. I can try different things without breaking my banks.
I heard EAT’s Sushi has the Premium menu ($48.99, only $9 more than the regular price $39.99 ) that I couldn’t wait to try. I went during lunch time because daily limited supply. I wanted to make sure I got to try everything on that Premium menu. My favorite ones are soft shell crab and all the new style sashimi. They are huge pieces! If I order a la carte at sushi restaurants, the price will be more than double. Not only I can order these special items, there are still two full pages of sushi, speciality rolls and hand rolls to choose from. The price is unbelievable & affordable with the high quality fish & ingredients!
Also, if you are cutting back your carbs, they have selections of “No Rice Roll”. How thoughtful!
They also have weekday lunch special $29.99, weekday dinner special $36.99. I have posted picture of the hours.
The Parking: Parking structure at the back of the restaurant (free). Enter from 1st Street.
Everything I tried was super delicious! Some of my favorites were the Fire Island, Spicy Albacore, Tekka Tuna Roll, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, and the Spicy Garlic Edamame, all so fresh and flavorful.
Our server, Bang, was incredibly kind and attentive, and the whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back soon, highly recommend this place if you love sushi! ✨
