This is a charming and historic eatery that I found to be exemplary. The staff were all hard working. The food tasted fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere brought a smile to my face.
I brought my husband for the first time during lunch. He enjoyed the experience so well, that he wanted to get a to go to bring back to our hotel for dinner.
We will want to prioritize stopping here the next time we visit the cozy city of Washington, PA.

Place was busy, they only had four servers on, but did our server do an AWESOME job of keeping on our drinks and food. Not once did we have to wait for her. We were seated quickly and our food came out quickly.

The place was all right. The server was great. But the food, oh my goodness, it was TERRIBLE! I mean seriously awful! I had a grilled cheese sandwich, and it was so dry! And the cheese wasn’t melted! The loaded fries I got were over cooked, dry, almost inedible…the cheese sauce was room temperature. My grandson (2, yr old) got French toast sticks, they were dry and overcooked.

Love this place. Great food and service. Coffee is drinkable. We go a couple times a week. Tina as well as all the servers are great. Never had a problem with food or people. We go for breakfast, lunch sometimes and occasional dinner.

Good experience compared to last time 9 months ago where we didn’t get waited on. We got seated quickly and the service was very good. The salad bar was fresh, and the soups and fruit were very good. The superbuger, fries and gravy were great and cooked just right. A definite improvement from the last visit at this location

Busy lunchtime rush with people moving from tables to booths without approval. You would think this would be cause for confusion, but it ran like the well oiled machine that it always does.

Usually, this restaurant is good not a lot of complaints on our part, but today was very disappointing. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that tasted like a whole shaker of pepper had been poured on it. I ate about half and had the worst heartburn. I told the waitress about it and she really didn’t care. I tried to advise her that maybe someone had just accidentally put too much seasoning on it, but it was mostly pepper Again, I know she was busy, but there was no concern Most waitresses there are great, but this particular day was just not a good one. Hopefully it improves on the next visit if there is one.

Ordered take out today. Two fish sandwiches with chips and coleslaw, only to get home and there isnt any coleslaw. Then I ordered my kids the chicken tenders dinner with fries and a cup of potato soup, only to find out they didnt give me any soup. Probably like 7 or 8 dollars worth of food I didnt get if I had ordered them separately. Its ridiculous. What happened to double checking your order before you send it out the window? The best part of this… the MANAGER is the one who handed me the bag missing 2 items. DO BETTER!
