If you don’t observe Lent, then know this, the Beef Chili is full to the brim on Fridays. No need to égoutter (drain broth before serving, also call “making a salad”).

I feel that $16 for a fish sandwich and fries is pricey for semi fast food and it also seems like they change their fish cuz it had a funky bitter taste to it. It definitely wasn’t cooked all the way through but the lady at the window was marvelous with her big smile.

We placed an online order to be picked up at this location Feb. 11 last at 5:00 and received a confirmation that our order would be ready between 5:15 and 5:25..We arrived at the restaurant {pickup location} approximately 5 minutes later and asked if it would be possible to dine in the restaurant since it didn’t look busy. The hostess informed us that this would not be a problem and seated us at a table right away. A waitress did come to our table and we explained the situation to her as well. She asked if she could get us a drink and said she would bring us our order when it was ready. A few minutes later, the manager on duty came to our table and proceeded to tell us that requesting to eat in the restaurant was immoral, that we were taking advantage of the business, and that he could not allow the waitress to serve us. He advised us that this was completely unacceptable and, just this once, he would allow it and bring our food to the table himself. We informed him that we did not understand the problem as we did intend to include a gratuity for the waitress as if it were a normal dining experience. A couple minutes later, the manager returned to our table and informed us that our order had been prepared, but had already been picked up by door dash for delivery. We never scheduled our order to be delivered. Meanwhile, other customers seated around us are beginning to take notice of the managers inappropriate behavior towards us. The manager advised us that we could reorder and pay again, then contact door dash for a refund of the original order. While speaking with the manager, the tracking on our order went from being prepared to ready for pick up, but he refused to give us our order. He had no explanation for lying about our order already being picked up for delivery. Our problem is with Eat N Park, not Door Dash. The manager was rude, dishonest, and humiliated us in public.

I cant believe how bad this place has gotten. This has always been our go to place with the grandkids, until tonight. Not only did we wait for over an hour for food. (We were not alone. The couple across from us got up and left.) But when we asked to see the manager he was beyond rude. I said I was going to a different restaurant next time and he told me that was a good idea.

Eat’n Park is one of my go-to places. I really enjoy their salad bar and soups. Their food is usually very good and I have never had a problem with the service there. One thing I would mention is that when people come in with a cane or they are obviously elderly it would probably be nice if they were not seated very far from the salad bar. Actually I think the hostess should ask if they we’re planning on the salad bar. I was seated very far from the salad bar and I have a hard time walking which is quite obvious. Other than that I really like the restaurant.

I occasionally get take out from this restaurant while the food is generally alright, I pick up at the take out window..they never (only seems to be the Shaler location) give the free cookie. And the other issue I have is the payment system on line, I have a GC but can’t seem to use it, because their system only uses one type of payment… unlike, you know every other website paying system. I put in the GC and it says funds are low add another payment but it never takes the GC. Hey E&P it’s 2026 get your ordering and payment system together! And Shaler stop cheating out on the cookies!

I usually get takeout, but dined in today. Ordered the whale of a fish dinner with a salad bar side. The fish was good but after I left I had diarrhea within 20 minutes. I barely made it home. I called to tell them something wasn’t right and spoke with Gina the manager. I told her I didn’t want anything I was calling so others wouldn’t get sick. Maybe a cross contamination or E.coli growing on a salad bar item? Gina refused to except that could happen and she said stomach virus was going around and that’s probably what happened. I wasn’t sick before I went there only after. Being in my 60’s I know what food poisoning does to a person. The quality of the salad bar is way worse than ever before. The iceberg lettuce comes in minced the waitress told me, it looks gross. My waitress was nice and attentive. I won’t be going back because of the manager Gina making it my problem. I hope corporate reads this so they know what kind of mangers they have!

*Update* I visited this Eat’n Park location again last night after not being there in quite some time and I am pleased to say they are still delivering 5 service and food. I wanted to commend them for the cleanliness of the restaurant, how kind and attentive our waitress was, the perfectly prepared food and the fast service.
Eat’n Park is Pittsburgh’s famous diner. It has a classic diner, family friendly menu. The Shaler location is one of the best. It’s clean, welcoming, food is always fresh. Staff is nice and they have a pick up window. Trust me you will leave with a smile.
At my most recent visit I had the famous Superburger Meal Deal, an Eat’n Park must try! It was excellent as always. The Philly Cheese Steak and Turkey Club are two more choices you can’t go wrong with.
