Oh my gosh the Japanese pork belly was amazing for the grill. The Korean short ribs were also incredible. That said, they didn’t provide any times or guesstimates for how long to cook the meats, which were extremely thick compared to other DIY Grill places. So if you’re not familiar with grilling thicker cuts of meat, you might have a hard time balancing food and conversations.
We wanted to do hot pot but they told us it would take 35+ minutes. It doesn’t say this in the menu so it feels a bit strange so we had to skip it. They did have a soup of the day, which was like a mini pho, sans noodles. Really tasty!
We went in around 2pm, I don’t know if they just opened it what that day but it took us awhile to be seated despite only 3 other parties being in there. Our waitress was kind but it took her a long time to come to our table when we first arrived, easily 10 minutes before we received water. She was fairly attentive afterwards.
Overall good experience but a bit pricey for what you get.

The 6 course dining experience was fun, But it was a busy night, so a lot of the selection was already sold out. The chef did a good job of trying to manage the amount of orders and keeping everything fresh but he really needed more help in the kitchen. The service staff was great and attentive. The buffet of dim sum and other small plate appetizers was very tasty. I would definitely go back and try the regular menu.

Yesterday I went to try the Devour menu since it looked like one of the best menus. As soon as I walked in, the chef seemed pretty stressed, which is understandable given that they were also running the lunch Devour menu that day. I was patient and waited while more food was being prepared.
Since it was a course-based setup, I was hoping to try everything, but unfortunately didn’t get the chance because the kitchen was behind. After being there for about two hours, they were still preparing food, which lines up with one of the reviews below mine. Overall, the food I did have was phenomenal, and the servers were very nice. I just wish I had been able to experience the rest of the menu for the price paid. It felt like the chef may have taken on too much with this menu — hopefully next year it can be executed more smoothly.

I am Vietnamese and I must say, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. The flavor is authentic and top notch. Their pate and grilled pork are delicious! All ingredients including veggies and side dishes are FRESH! Most importantly, the sauce—the heart and soul of Vietnamese cuisine, is unbeatable. Overall, if anyone asks me where to try Viet food in Indy, Eating Fresh will make top of the list

Pho broth and noodles were good. Meat was a bit too thick for the pho tai. I prefer it the standard thin sliced way so it’s easier to eat. Bathroom can use some cleaning. The dining space was nice.

Eating Fresh is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Broad Ripple. Not only do they offer authentic Vietnamese food but also have many options such as dim sum, hot pot and grill your own selections. But my recommendation is the Vietnamese options. They make an outstanding Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, pictured) that made me want more as soon as we finished – really one of the best soups I have had in Indy. The soup is large enough to share and if you want more meats, select the premium version. We tried their stuffed squid, fresh spring rolls and roasted pork – all wonderful. It was a delightful and delicious experience and will definitely be back for more!

It’s been a long time since I’ve had Vietnamese food this good in Indiana. I’ve been to Vietnam before, and this restaurant immediately reminded me of the wonderful meals I enjoyed there, especially at the nicer local spots.
I ordered the dried noodles and four bánh mì. Unlike many Vietnamese restaurants that save time by stir-frying the meat for their bánh mì, this place actually grills the meat, so you can really smell and taste the aroma with every bite. The noodles were also cooked perfectly: Great texture and not overdone at all.
I ordered everything to go, and the food still tasted just as good as if I had eaten it at the restaurant. You can tell the chef puts real care and thought into the cooking, and I truly respect that. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese food.

I will say the food is really good quality but the service is slow and awkward. The kitchen gets backed up and overwhelmed so easy. We have a toddler so we ordered his fried rice right away, took 45 minutes. The kids fried rice also states it came with a meat, the waitress told us it would be a 5 dollar up charge ( this would have made it more expansive than an adults fried rice), so we said just do it vegetarian then. It then came out with chicken. During this time we ordered our food, vegetarian spring rolls and Pho. We was told the Pho might come out before spring rolls because we didn’t order appetisers right away (good one). Spring rolls came minutes later with shrimp, had to send them back. Then an hour after sitting down the Pho came, as I mentioned the kitchen just gets too overwhelmed too quickly trying to do so many different types of dishes. Finally, as we left my wife tried to change my son in the women’s bathrooms. Someone flushed the toilet in the mens bathroom which caused raw sewage to come out of the base of women’s toilet. We told the staff but they did not care.

I was feeling tired and very worn down, needing a hot broth with fresh herbs, so obviously pho was my first choice. Came here, got the Short Rib Pho with a pot of green tea. I swear, I felt immediately better. The broth was rich yet light. The short rib was delicious, and it was overall exactly what I needed.

We have so much love for this restaurant. We just went for devour but typically go for lunch. Chef Ricky is incredibly passionate and always so attentive. Our favorites are the kimchi pho, spicy beef noodle (bun bo hue), and bbq pork bao.
Devour was a fun and interactive experience. Very different from most with a ton of options served buffet style.
Our only complaint (and it’s a small one) is that there isn’t any music so sometimes it’s a little awkward.
