In 2008, at the age of 24, Travis Hester opened up a food truck on Military Road in Benton, Arkansas. In just one hour, he was sold out of fish. Thanks to the …

First timer here. Ordered online (great website) and picked it up 20min later. A young girl with that cute, Arkansas accent handed me my bronzed catfish meal through my window with a smile. Gluten free! Only complaint was the cob of corn. Not the freshest ear on the farm for sure.

Went in, 1.5hrs before closing time ordered 6lbs of crab. They were out of potatoes and corn wasn’t offered a substitution, coke zero was out of Carbonation so couldnt drink that, the employees started cleaning 1hr before close time so me and my family felt extremely rushed, they poured the sweet tea down the drain without seeing if my kids wanted a refill, and to top it all off the crab was over boiled so the meat was very dehydrated and of very poor quality. Definitely won’t be going back.

We ordered crab legs. 6lbs. Cost $236 for 3 people. We dined in. Got there at 7pm. They close at 8. All of the waitresses were running around us putting up chairs, cleaning tables etc. My daughter was about to refill her glass with sweet tea right before they poured it down the drain at 7:30. We felt so rushed and disturbed by the sound of the chairs being scraped across the floor and put onto tables. Now onto the quality of the crab. It was awful. It was very dry and over cooked. The legs were hollow inside bc the meat had shriveled and shrunk inside. Definitely not worth the price. Hushpuppies were good though.

First time at this location. Food was very hot, but the pieces of fish were very thin and small. Tiny little cup of Mac and cheese and Cajun rice. Very small hush puppies. No regular tartar sauce. For my dad and I was over 40 with the tip, for a 3 piece and 4 piece fish dinner. Best part of my meal was my corn on the cob. How bad is that? Won’t visit this location again.

Edit.. we had to go back and eat here again. This time we also ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were very, very good catfish and bow down. Balls were just as good as they were last week.
Catfish was absolutely wonderful. Great customer service & lotta food. I ordered the two piece catfish and got three pieces. My husband ordered three piece and got four pieces.

I have had Eat My Catfish before, and honestly it’s always been good, but today was very disappointing. When I walked in, the atmosphere was great and the prices seemed amazing. The food came out pretty fast, as I would expect since I was the only person in the whole restaurant, but I was not checked on once. Once the food came out though, it was cold and the portions seemed small for what I had paid. The mac and cheese was the only hot thing I received, but it was bland and was only 4oz for $5. The catfish, fries, and hush puppies were all cold which was surprising since I was the only person in there. The catfish was not only cold, it was small and thin. Overall, just not a great experience, I will not be back. There are much better places to get good catfish in Conway.

Contrary to popular opinion I am going to have to say our visit to Eat My Catfish was not what I would call the best catfish in the state. It is possible we went on the wrong day?
That being said we ordered fried green tomatoes and what we got was what tasted like pickle relish deep fried (I am not a fan of pickle relish) so right out the gate we were really disappointed. If it was truly tomatoes, why was it in chunks?
The fish didn’t have much flavor, and the chicken tasted like the fish because of being fried in the same oil. The shrimp was okay, the batter on all of the fish, chicken and shrimp was lacking and was too thick. The coleslaw was ok, but nothing special, French fries were okay, but could have been cooked a little longer.
We used the restroom before leaving and it was a super-hot sauna in there and there were paper towels all over the floor. As we were leaving, we saw that someone (who had already gone from the restaurant) had crawfish and the table was still covered with the remains and smelled like it had been there for a while.
On the plus side, they serve Coke products and the people at the front counter and person bringing us our food was nice. Also, the Willie Dust was good.
I am sorry I can’t recommend this place. We shared a meal and each had a drink and our lunch was $29.00.

The Gumbo was really good, well prepared not salty at all, almost like a Real Louisiana Gumbo! The Cujun Rice wasn’t good at all , it tasted dry and salty no flavor at all ! The blackened catfish and shrimp were good but not delicious , couldn’t really taste the blackened seasoning. Definitely the best thing in the dish were the hush puppies very delicious ! The place is clean just a little outdated!!

Catfish was very good. Hush puppies were not cooked. Raw inside. Waitress said she would put in a new order but then never brought them out to the table. Mentioned it as we were walking out and the front counter person went and got them and gave them to us in a takeout box. Probably won’t return.

If you are wanting catfish and not just “fried fish” like other places offer you must go to EMC! The picture is of our leftovers! Lauren was so friendly and helpful at the register and making sure we had what we needed. The boudin balls were great and they came with a scoop of coleslaw. They were so big that is why we had a full meal for left-overs.
