I can’t believe we didn’t eat here sooner! The jerk chicken was outstanding. Nice crispy skin with that charcoal cooked taste! The ox tail was good but a smaller portion for the price. There isn’t table service here was the reason for 4 stars on service. You can eat here but it seemed like 80% of the folks coming in took it to go.

Delicious!!!! Highly Recommend!!! We both got a special they had going on which included: jerk chicken, rice, plantain, cabbage and a drink for $10!!!! The outside is a little rough but once you walk inside you feel like you have been teleported to Jamaica! Love the atmosphere and the food… already planning our next visit back!

Authentic Jamacian food. The food was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond explaining the menu to us. The establishment was very clean. Service was fast and friendly. They also have a wide variety of jamacian sodas to choose from as well.

Stopped in here for dinner, and it did not disappoint. We had the jerk chicken and jerk pork, both were super tasty. The plantains and rice were also good. The food is pretty affordable as well. Incredible Jamaican cuisine.

The food is great, the taste is right, and everything, but I think the food overall is overpriced. They give you one scoop of rice or a side and a small Portion of meat in a small box for 14 to $20. Even if you pay for a large one, you still can’t tell the difference or get full.

Don’t get me wrong the food at the spot tastes amazing, I think they have the best jerk chicken! It’s just that the food portion is the issue.

Example: Dona’s Jamaican restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The food portion is more than expected, and the taste of their food matches the quantity. Every time you go there you want to get a medium because there is so much food that can keep you full and have less bone in their meat. I added the phone of the restaurant plate below to show you what I am talking about for 11 Dallas.

Just remember even though eating at the spot has great quality of food, the quantity matters too. The quality of food goes hand and hand with the Quality. Eat at the spot is charging a high price for so little Portions of food. I might as well go to a Chipotle or Qdoba where I get more for less or get my money’s worth and be full.

Also, I understand this is a Jamaican restaurant but I recommend that the cashier learn to speak to their customer better because this is not Jamaican! Sometimes the cashier can come off disrespectful when you address an issue like for example, why the curry chicken plate only has 3 small pieces of chicken and then she starts giving you attitude and upcharges you just to fix your plate as it’s supposed to be.

I had the pleasure of dining at this delightful Jamaican restaurant and I must say, it was an absolute treat for the taste buds. The oxtail was incredibly tender and flavorful, the BBQ chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the curry shrimp was a delightful burst of spice and freshness. The sides of rice and plantains were cooked to perfection, complementing the main dishes beautifully. Not to mention, the cabbage was a pleasant surprise with its unique blend of flavors. Overall, this restaurant truly captures the essence of Jamaican cuisine with its authentic and delicious dishes. I can’t wait to go back for more!

First time eating here, ordered take out! it was weird to find out that I could only get one dinner with rice and peas when both my husband and I wanted them! I assume they were out of it because it was an hour before closing. But anyway jerk chicken was perfect, my husband was disappointed in the boneless curry chicken nuggets. He expected to get bone-in chicken. Whole pieces! So the reason for the 30 mile drive was for husband so whomp whomp, he is a born and raised Flordian and knows his island food! Other than that delicious to me not so much for him, although I would’ve been happier with rice and peas I think overall I was satisfied. the service was fast because it was on a steam table! I recommend the jersey but not the curry unless you like chicken nuggets!

For a guy from Tn, going here off of recommendations by locals, I had low expectations. I was blown away not only by the food but the staff. They were so friendly, and when they found out it was my first time in, they really took care of me. 100% if I’m ever in a 2hrs radius, I will make the detour to come get food again. The ox tails and jerk chicken are off the charts good!!!!

The service was great and professional. The service made me feel like I will definitely come back. The food was amazing. I love the way that they cooked the ox tails with homemade sauce/gravy which I dripped over my rice and peas. Even my 2-year-old and 3-year-old great nephews enjoyed the food, and they are hard to please.
