Eastwind is one of the best sushi places in Phoenix.
Their rolls are decently big, their ramen is amazing and they have the friendliest staff that’s always taken care of us every time we come.
Plus they give you ice cream when you’re done. Who could be mad at that?!

Decided to try lunch specials and they were so good. Had the California bowl and Spicy beef bowl and both were delicious! Will be back to try other things. Food took a while but guess good food takes times and there was an error on our ticket but she was the only waitress working. She was friendly and checked on us a couple times. Was given a free dessert which was a nice surprise.

We tried this place recently, and they did not disappoint. It was some of the best sushi we have found in Arizona so far. They are not an AYCE, but the food is worth going there for. This will be our new go-to restaurant for sushi.
Update: Service has been lacking the last few times we have gone. There were barely any people there, and it took a long time to get our drinks and food. Food was still great.

Love the sushi here, very flavorful and fresh with much variety. My husband loves the short ribs and ramen while my daughter enjoys the fried rice. The atmosphere is really casual and chill while the service is an amazing family vibe. The prices are reasonable and you can’t go wrong with happy hour.

I’ve tried this place 3 or 4 times now hoping that it would get better but alas, it has not and this last time really put the nail in the coffin. At first glance their menu looks like it has a lot of variety but after further inspection, you’ll notice it’s pretty much the same rolls with a slight variation. Their sashimi selection is average.
I think what really gets me is that the fish is never really fresh and honestly that should be on me. Every time I go in the place, its empty and to expect their turn is going to be high enough to warrant super fresh fish is a bit foolish.
For the quality that you get and the prices you’ll pay – you’re better off going almost anywhere else.

Ordered take out and was about a 45 minute wait. Seemed a bit over priced but for the quality and portions, it was worth it. The chicken katsu dish is my favorite and can probably be split within two people. It’s hard to find good Katsu near this part of town but this place cooks the chicken well and the sauce is very good. The sushi rolls were very good as well.

Best sushi! Entrees such as ramen and pad thai are so delicious and total comfort foods. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is great. Go to restaurant for quality, affordability and consistency.
