Eastway Dining Hall has truly exceeded my expectations in every way possible! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The variety of food options available is simply outstanding – there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a health-conscious eater or looking to indulge in some comfort food.

Food is a hit or miss, but the dessert station usually has something you’ll like every day. Rosie’s Diner is a better pick if you live on campus, but sometimes they have options that Rosie’s does not that is actually pretty good.

It’s a quick and seemingly quality place to eat on campus. good variety of food.

Not quite the best dining hall on campus, but it does the job. Personally, I can almost always find something good here for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are a bit hit-or-miss sometimes. Based on my experience here, I believe the quality and variety of the food has gone down since last year.

The food quality has risen in the past two years, however it hasn’t risen all that much. The gluten free area is small but the quality tends to be the best in the area. The menu changes every meal time, morning, afternoon, and evening. The menu for the current time can be found on their website. If you are not a student, the entry fee for an all-you-can-eat “meal swipe” is $10.

Eastway overall is decent. The food is often a hit-or-miss, though; the pizza is almost never good. However things like their pasta or chili are fantastic. If they were a bit more consistent, I think the D.I. Hub would have more competition.

Sadly, the dining here is very unpredictable. While yes, some meals are ok, others will literally make you sick and I would not even feed to a dog. Sadly though, when they have those bad meals, they really don’t offer alternative options. So you better hope you go there on a good day, otherwise you will probably get sick because as the old saying goes, “When it rains it pours.”

As of this semester, the food is practically inedible. There are less than 1/4 of the options it used to have. Today when I went between classes, my options were 3 stations: a single piece of toast cut diagonally (grill), lettuce and tomatoes with ranch dressing (closed pizza station), and whatever the home station had but the line was to the entrance. I also have dietary needs that are cross-contamination sensitive, and the lack of labeling on the food as well as safe options makes it so that I either a) can’t eat at all, or b) eat anyway and suffer through the sickness it causes. Kent State needs to change this or refund us.

Last semester there was a lot of choices, the food wasn’t bad.
