Every time I’ve been here, it’s been for some type of party or polka dance, and the crowd has been large, to the point many people stand. Recommend getting there early in these cases to get a seat. Bar food is good, and a full range of drinks are available. Although service times slow way down with a crowd, the employees have remained cheerful in my experience. This a go-to place for me when I’m in this area of Nebraska.

If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. About 5 PM on Sunday 7/2/23, 7 people at the bar, and one SUPER lazy bar tender. Waited at a table just behind the bar for 10-15 minutes (we specifically came here to order pizza & have a few beers), but the bartender could not be bothered to even make eye contact. He just ignored us to chat with people at the bar & wait on every random person that wandered in after us. I’ve been there before & had great service and food, but this lazy bartender (older guy, with a hat & beard….couldn’t run the cash register POS system & lazy as all get out) ruined it.

I play pool leagues every week, Wednesdays in the summer and Thursdays in the fall. This is my home bar and I play here every other week…
Staff is always friendly and the locals are always so welcoming to us pool players.
They have amazing food and the owner of the bar takes great care of us.

I went here for coffee with a friend from Lincoln, also. The City Slickers was closed and we didnt know it, so we went in here 1/2 hour before they opened, even. Very friendly and I had the soft tacos (special for the day) for lunch. Good food for decent price.

Waitress was extremely nice. Went out of her way to check on us several times. Limited menu but Dorchester is a very small town lucky to have two establishments serving food. Burgers their specialty with many choices for side.

Friendly place! Every third Sunday, they have a Polka band & the place is packed. Menu isn’t big but generally good food. Lots of good beers on tap!

If we could give it a negative rating, we would. There were approximately 20 people in the bar including us, a party of three. We waited an hour and ten minutes after we ordered when someone finally came out and asked what we ordered. She came back and said there were three orders ahead of us. Wow! Hate to see what the service is like on a busy night. Needless to say, we paid for our drinks and left. Not recommended.

Steak was ordered medium, showed up purple and I’ve had warmer beer. Gizzards were lightly breaded and delicious. Surprising beer selection. Going forward stick to fried food, ask for Wendy.
