Stopped by the East Troy House while passing through Wisconsin and was pleasantly surprised. The place has a welcoming, classic tavern feel with plenty of local charm—lots of history and fun décor on the walls that makes it cozy but lively.
The cheeseburger was spot-on: juicy, perfectly cooked, and stacked with fresh toppings. I also tried the buffalo cheese curds—crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, with just the right amount of kick from the buffalo sauce. Easily some of the best curds I’ve had in the area.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. Prices felt fair for the quality and portion size.
If you’re anywhere near East Troy, this spot is worth the detour for a hearty meal and a classic Wisconsin tavern experience. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Saturday for lunch. No wait. Very nice and clean. Tables are regular height and some alittle higher, Hooray for no booths. We sat and were greated right away. Menu, Drink menu and Specials all right there, plus soup of the day. Bloody Mary was very good. Potatoe soup was Amazing. Husband had a Beautiful burger cooked to his liking, fries were very good. My Reuben was one of the best I’ve had. Saurkraut had a little horseradish bite that was Amazing. Everything plated beautiful. Service was Very good. We will be back. Thank you, keep up the Great job.

Really nice place to grab a dinner and drinks. Big place with games and a pool table. They had bingo going on in the back room and we couldn’t even hear them in the bar area. The food was great and the bartender recommended some great options. Never underestimate great bartenders! Spot on! I’m definitely looking forward to going back.

The food and drinks were great, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and casual. Great place for family or a group of friends to eat together. There are chalkboards on the walls to write & draw on. My group had the Breakfast Burrito, Granola Bowl, and Vegetable Hash.

We love this place. Great food and drinks. My only complaint is how we’re treated from hostesses and waitresses. Maybe because we’re not regulars? But there’s 2 women that are so rude and seem annoyed every time my family and I come in there. I never see them being the way they are with my family to other customers. The short haired greyish color hair waitress and the curly haired reddish brown in color hair with glasses hostess. Maybe they could use some extra training in customer service and how to be kind to EVERY customer there. Or get a new job. We don’t go there anymore because of the service those 2 provide. And we ALWAYS get STUCK with them. I know we can ask for someone else but I shouldn’t have to do that. And if I did I’m sure we’d be marked for life at the ol East Troy House.

When we arrived at East Troy House we were promptly seated but warned that they were short staffed and to expect delays. As we looked around the room was full but nobody seemed to be impatient or unserved.
We were immediately visit by our waitress who took our drink and appetizer. We got the General Tso cauliflower and a bowl of chowder. The general tso was definitely unique and a good delivery on what they were trying to do but I don’t think I’d order it again 3.5/5 . The clam chowder was exceptional and a huge portion. The chowder was the perfect creaminess with a very hardy portion of clam 5/5 The wife ordered the fish fry with potato pancakes and I ordered a Burger with fries. My wife’s fish fry was excellent. Light, crispy and flaky breading and nice portion 5/5. The potato pancakes were good but not great 3/5. My burger was good but not great. It had all the elements but was missing the sear on the meat to give it that pop. As is, burger was 3/5 – again cooked perfectly and had a good bun but without the sear it was forgettable.
The service was absolutely exceptional 5/5. Bathrooms were clean 5/5.
I’d give them a 4.5 if I could but can’t so they get 4/5

Tasmanian Duval
This was just a random stop I made on my way out of Milwaukee, but good gosh do they make some great food. Pretty decent variety of drinks too. They got something for everybody. And they don’t skimp on flavour. It’s a little on the costly side but you’re paying for a good experience.
