Out of town Customer Review:
We recently came here for breakfast and overall had a good experience, with a few areas that could improve.
When we arrived, the place was full, which wasn’t an issue at all. We waited about 20-30 minutes. The wait itself was fine; however, as tables started to open up, they weren’t being cleaned promptly, which delayed us being seated. That first impression was a bit frustrating.
Once seated, we were not given a menu right away however we placed our drink order. Just a heads up—there is no hot chocolate, and it’s not on the menu. That said, the juices and other drink options were great and very refreshing.
Our server truly stood out. She was kind, friendly, super polite, and very attentive. She gave thoughtful recommendations and made us feel welcome.
One thing that was pointed out at the table was the eggs. They appeared to be organic, which was a nice touch. The feedback was mixed though—one person felt the eggs were delicious, while another didn’t enjoy them as much. I personally didn’t order eggs, so I can’t speak to them myself.
I had to step out before eating, so I got my order to go (blueberry pancakes). The two people I was dining with said their food was very, very good. When I later tried my pancakes, they did not disappoint at all—great flavor, and I can only imagine how amazing they would’ve been fresh and warm.
I also used the restroom and noticed how warm and cozy it was, which really highlighted the comfortable atmosphere they’re creating.
The only reason for the 3-star rating is the initial seating experience. A couple arrived about 10 minutes after us, and the same staff member (owner) immediately offered them multiple table options—even a dirty one, saying it could be cleaned right away. We’re hoping this wasn’t intentional and just an off moment.
Overall, great food, wonderful service from our waitress only. We’d like to come back and hope to be seated in a more timely and organized manner next time. Blessings to the business and continued success to the team.

Excellent visit and will definitely be back. The space is welcoming and the owners have done a very nice job with renovating from the previous business. It is light colored and a rustic vibe which is cozy and airy. The breakfast menu felt very diner like with a high quality flair for those we are looking for something a little more upscale. Food was fantastic, great local items included and advertised as well as local beers on tap. We loved everything we ate. Service was friendly and quick and the prices were excellent.
We were a group of 3 adults who each had a meal, plus one side of delicious Wide Awake Bakery Bread and jam, 3 coffees total, 2 local craft beers total, and a mimosa and the bill came out to $56 before tip!

The food is clearly homemade and done with care. Highly reccomend stopping in and getting a meal. Side note: they use very lightly processed, unbleached flour to make their biscuits and pancakes which is healthier and easier to digest for people that deal with the issues of American Gluten products. They also had oat milk available for a non-dairy option if people need it.

All in all, 5 star, can’t wait to go back!

Found this to be a great place to eat. Lots of locals there. Food was amazing! Owner was very friendly and kept checking in on us, and not when our mouths were full of the delicious food, bonus!!!

East Shore Roadhouse is a cozy, refreshed spot for breakfast and lunch—bright, welcoming, and a little more polished than your typical roadside café. It’s got a relaxed, friendly vibe and feels like a local favorite without being too “diner-y.”

We stopped in for breakfast and loved it. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying, and he had the omelet with bacon and home fries—everything was cooked just right, with crispy bacon and golden, well-seasoned potatoes. Portions are generous, and the coffee is solid (and refilled often!).

If you’re looking for a casual but nicely done breakfast or lunch near the lake, East Shore Roadhouse is a great pick—simple, tasty food in a space that feels both homey and up-to-date.

My perfect breakfast sandwich. I had the B.E.L.T. and enjoyed every bite. Fresh, local ingredients, including the bacon, and you could taste it.

Visited East Shore Roadhouse with a friend on a busy weekend morning. There was a wait for tables but open seats at the bar. We were allowed to sit immediately, yet told we could only order beverages until our name came up on the waitlist—despite having no intention of taking a table. We sat at the bar for about 45 minutes before being handed menus and allowed to order breakfast, all from the same seats. From a restaurant operations standpoint, bar seating is typically used as a fast-turn channel to relieve dining room pressure and improve throughput for small parties. The approach here felt unnecessarily rigid and inefficient. The popularity and quality of the food are clear, which is why it’s disappointing that process, not demand, ultimately undermined the dining experience.

This was our first visit to the Roadhouse. As usual, I will preface that I’m a hard rater. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast during a very busy Sunday morning at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions based on our comments and preferences. My wife ordered one of the specials that day, the spinach Florentine with hollandaise sauce. It was very tasty and she finished every bite, except for the one I took. I ordered off the menu and chose “the usual” aptly named as it is what I usually order. Two eggs (mine were perfectly cooked over medium), home fries, local bacon (sooo good) and marble rye toast in place of the day’s fruit or veggie. We also had decaf coffee that was very good. The creamer was a bit light for my taste. All in all I highly recommend the E.S.R. for breakfast. We’ll have to stop by for another meal, which I’m sure will be yummy as well.

Stopped in for breakfast Sunday morning. It was nearly full. We got seated quickly. Waitstaff is nice and friendly. There’s space to move about and it’s not too loud inside. We got our drinx quickly, but it took a bit to get our food. That was fine. The food was good/OK – typical diner fare. The prices were perfect. It’s nice to have a good choice in the area for breakfast.

This place feels like a no frills, no nonsense farm-to-table restaurant. The freshest chicken and Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. The jerk chicken sandwich plate was 10/10.
