Tex-Mex house-smoked BBQ in a family-friendly, (dog-friendly!) setting. Full bar with frozen drink and daily cocktails specials, TV, games and fun for everyone! We have a huge outdoor space, as well as ample seating room indoors. We also host private events. Reservations are not needed, however if you have a large party or unique situation please give us a call!

We went for the first time last night, and busy is an understatement. It was PACKED. We waited about 45 minutes to order from the parking lot to the register. Staff were friendly and efficient. Once we had our food it was all worth it. We had burnt ends and pork belly. Both were spectacular. The salsa was also a hit chips were fresh and the elote ‘salad’ was amazing. 10/10. Can’t wait to come back!

The barbecue was delicious—flavorful, well-cooked, and super satisfying. The space itself is great too, with plenty of seating both inside and outside, so it never feels cramped. The service was awesome from start to finish, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. It’s an easy spot to hang out, enjoy good food, and have a great time.

East of Texas BBQ absolutely delivered! I tried the burnt ends and sliced brisket, and both were incredible — tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the care that goes into the cooking here. The service was spot on too — friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. It’s the perfect combo of great Texas-style barbecue and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Wow, how did I not know about this place until now. Some of the best BBQ in the area. Wonderful staff, fast service and great food. You have the love the free cotton candy for dessert! My favorite was the brisket and chicken. But the pork and sausage were both delicious.

Great little gem hiding away in the Winston-Salem city limits. Very down to earth, relaxed atmosphere. Feels like it’s a great place to unwind with friends. Large selection of drinks and great food that you can enjoy inside, or at there large outdoor area. Just walk in, grab a menu, go up to the counter and order. Then grab your order and enjoy. They even have their own “market” area where you can purchase items to take home. My girlfriend and I both had the brisket, which was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there.

Overall, very good food. Brisket was the star, followed by the jalapeño baked beans, BBQ wings. Hot wings flavor was OK. Mac and cheese could use some retooling. I’ll definitely try again.

The flavorings didn’t hit the mark for what I expect from Texas BBQ. The first thing I asked was, “Who’s the Pit Master?”—and got silence. At that moment I already felt I’d made a questionable choice, but I went ahead anyway.
The food arrived room temperature (except for the appetizer). The brisket had a smoke ring, but the flavor and seasoning were lacking—definitely not a standout. For a $175+ bill for a group of five, that was disappointing.
The sides were mixed: the beans needed seasoning, the corn was great, and the mac and cheese was surprisingly very good. The slaw with guacamole was fresh. But fountain drinks at $9 each? At that price, at least offer fresh lemonade or some specialty drink options.
I’ve been to 20+ BBQ spots in NC that claim Texas-style BBQ, and if you really know BBQ, this place unfortunately missed the mark.

Wow!! Definitely gave me Texas vibes! Lived in San Antonio TX for over 10 years and this place hit the nail on the head! Now that I’m in NC it’s nice to know I can come here and it feel like I’m in TX again for a bit. Absolutely LOVED this place! Food, staff, music, atmosphere, cleanliness 10/10! Especially loved the music diversity my ears perked up when I heard them playing Cumbia Kings, Bobby Pulido, Grupo Límite! Like whhaattt!?? I can appreciate the catering to Latinos as well ❤️ Yasssss the owners know what’s up food was soooo good and drinks were delicious as well! Staff was so friendly and nice and loved how the seating was and not where everyone is on top of one another like some places. I’ll be back with more family and friends. Suggestion to the owners! Trash can style nachos, and big reddddd please!!

Our family loves this place, our girls even ask to come to “Texas” by name! My husband and I have been sharing the Brother and Sister 1 lb. brisket tray (plus a side) lately as our go to order, and the girls each get a kids’ brisket taco with a side, drink, and cotton candy.
Indoor and outdoor seating make it easy to enjoy no matter the weather. We like sitting by the garage doors for the shade and breeze, though the air machines there can be a little noisy.
Bonus points for the stash of board games and children’s books that keep the kids happy while we relax. Great food, family-friendly vibes, and cotton candy, what’s not to love?

Such a nice place! We enjoyed sitting outside eating our food and enjoying the weather. The food was delcious! I got the nachos (very large portion) and my husband got the EOT burger and devoured it. Highly recommend!
