Hey this is a mini version of East Ocean from Alameda. The truth is this mini do not offer much choices as the one in Alameda. Majority I would say ok.
The quality of dimsum i ordered was kind of below average, not sure which parts were wrong?

If you haven’t been to both location, I definitely recommend you go to the one in Alameda first.

One thing about parking in the walnut creek location, even it has parking lot, but it is bit hard to get a spot for parking.

I never knew this place is now East Ocean and if it was related to the famous Dim Sum place but the food was definitely in that higher level. Pea shoots were fresh and tender, both sweet and sour and mushu pork were authentic. Mushu pork even had wood ear mushrooms, which many places had abandoned due to cost and time. The waitress was kind and patient. She even gave us a small complimentary order of xiao long baos. My two grown sons were very happy with the dinner. Will definitely visit again.

Thanks to the authentic selections chosen by my wonderful wife, I can confidently give this place a solid four stars. While the food was fantastic, a few design improvements could elevate the overall experience even further.

I highly recommend trying the Beef Dry Chow Fun ($19.95)—a flavorful mix of tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles. Be sure to pair it with their authentic hot sauce, conveniently available at every table, for an extra kick. For a well-balanced meal, add the Special Pea Sprouts ($21.95) as a fresh and delicious veggie side. And don’t miss the Salt & Pepper Calamari ($10.95)—crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside, making it a standout appetizer.

To complete the experience, enjoy the complimentary tea, which adds a warm and comforting touch to an already excellent, healthy dinner.

Whether you’re a fan of authentic flavors or just looking for a satisfying meal, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I’ll certainly be coming back—and maybe I’ll see you there next time!

Always enjoy a trip to East Ocean, the food is so fresh and well prepared. Generous portions and attentive friendly service. Especially recommend seafood options: Salt and Pepper calamari and seafood chow mein are what always bring us back, plus the dim sum, which you can get at dinner; love the shrimp and chive dumplings! Vegetarian options are plentiful and the broccoli is just gorgeous on its own. I recommend dining in as most of the dishes are best enjoyed hot from the kitchen. Parking is plentiful and free. Four star on atmosphere as the music was a touch loud last visit.. small thing.

From the authentic selections picked by my beautiful wife I can give this place a solid four stars. Would gladly see some design improvements to increase the rating.
Would highly recommend Beef Dry Chow Fun $19.95 (flavorful mix of beef and noodles) with authentic hot sauce they have on each table. Top it off with Special Pea Sprouts $21.95 as veggie side and get Salt & Pepper Calamari $10.95 (came juicy and tender) appetizer.
Complementary tea, and there goes your excellent, healthy dinner.
Enjoy your visit and come again.
Hope to see you there next time.

There are some dim sums on the menu by the marker.
The staff was nice and helpful.
It’s too expensive about under 90 including the tips and taste it normally.
We see a woman from the health government organization talking with the young man constantly while enjoying my lunch time.

Tried this for lunch today, the best one was the shrimp and chive dumplings. The gin doey (sesame balls) were tiny, the same size as the siu mai but the filling was red bean and not lotus as advertised. Siu mai were tasty! Would like to see them add don tat to the menu, over all a good place for lunch.

Was excited that East Ocean is in the East bay. Came to try a few items for breakfast. What a disappointment. We ordered chicken porridge large size, fried bread stick and shanghai dumpling. They gave us forks and no spoons when porridge was served. The porridge looks nothing like the menu picture and was a small bowl instead of a large. The fried bread stick was 1/4 of the picture size. The shanghai dumpling had a really thick dough. We had to search hard for the meat filling. Overall service was below average and food was underwhelming. Won’t come back ever again.
