Such an amazing place for halal Chinese food. Their crispy chicken is out of this world. We tried General tso chicken today as well, and it’s just awesome. This place serves fresh food, and the serving size is too good to be true! Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Inconsistent because it tasted good yesterday and today it tasted terrible. They forget stuff and gave me the wrong stuff twice on my first order and on the second time that I ordered from here. I asked for duck sauce and it is on my receipt that I requested only duck sauce but ireceived chinese mustard and soy sauce but not even one duck sauce packet was provided. When I brought it to there attention about the items they delivered that were wrong such as the wrong type of dumplings they didn’t say ok here is how we will make right for you. I have this place two chances. I will not give them a third chance and I recommend that you dont order from here either. Order at your own risk. I agree with another reviewer that the staff is very rude.

Leaving 5 stars because of location and the fact they are zabhia halal. I’m happy more halal businesses are moving into the area. Food is rated 4 star max, there is plenty of room for improvement. My chicken lo mein is on the bland side, it could definitely use some color( see picture), a small portion of veggies would have elevated this. My standard for great halal Chinese is “New Dynasty” on P st in DC, a must try if your have never been.

Amazing food and service. We order HotnSour soup, Hunan combination from chef special, Shrimp Fried rice and Thai curry Lomein combination. We ask them to make it spicy and its very good. Freshly cooked and also server was very friendly also answer all question regarding menu with smile.

Went to East Ocean Chinese in Haymarket last week and foods were great. My favorites were crispy chicken and black pepper chicken. I would visit again and foods are 100% halal.

Horrible horrible horrible. Sad thing is the food isn’t half bad, but the staff is absolutely awful and rude beyond belief. We have tried ordering Moo Sho twice. Both times they forgot the pancakes and plum sauce. Each time we called and the woman who answered told us it was our fault because we selected rice. We tried multiple times to tell them their ordering system forces us to choose a rice. The first time, we drove over and a manager/owner said she was wrong and gave us our missing items. This time, she got super nasty and hung up on us repeatedly while we were trying to explain. Additionally, they gave us the wrong soup which we couldn’t even mention because she kept hanging up. We understand mistakes happen, but the rudeness is absolutely a no go … especially when the mistake is not ours. Attached is a photo from their ordering system. After this, we will absolutely not be returning. Nor will we recommend them to anyone.

I recently had my rehearsal dinner at East Ocean Restaurant because I wanted to have a very relaxed atmosphere where everyone could enjoy themselves. The owner and staff here were so incredibly friendly and allowed me to have our private event (around 20 people) on an evening without charging an additional fee. They even asked if it would be ok to still have people stop in for To-Go orders and I said of course – I just wanted to make sure we had the space. The woman, who I believe is the manager, called the week before to go over all the details and ask how I wanted the space set-up. The whole process was easy to coordinate and everyone had a fantastic time that evening!

Good food but the staff is very rude. I waited 20 minutes just for someone to greet me and another 30 minute for the food to get ready. When i asked if my food is ready, the lady says with a very bad attitude “i only have two hands just wait more” and how exactly is that the customers fault? Very bad customer service.
