Food was decent. 7.5/10. Beef with broccoli could have been seasoned a bit more, with onion, garlic, or salt, but all in all it was decently well prepared and tasty. Nothing wrong with it at all. Portions were very plentiful and fair for the price paid.

We had the General Tso’s Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein and Szechuan Beef. All except the Lo Mein came with a side of white rice. We had take out but the food was still steaming hot when we got home, which was a nice bonus.

Overall the flavor, and heat and portions of the food were on point, except the Szechuan beef for which the portion of beef left us wanting more. Extra bonus that the meat was halal. Wished the takeout had come with utensils.

Food is great – but oh the service is where this place really is horrible at. They only have one person working most of the time and she is having to do all of the jobs and she is not very friendly. We ordered from their website, it said it was ready, and it’s now been over 30 minutes that we have been waiting for the food that said was ready to actually come out. When asked, answer is that they are very busy and there is only one person. We’ve been long time customers who are rethinking about this place, they don’t respect my time nor have any customer service.

This was one of my favorite restaurants until my last recent visit. I ordered hot and sour soup, shrimp fried rice, chicken wings and general tso’s chicken. The shrimp fried rice was salty & oily fried wings had no flavor. I notified the waitress regarding the rice and she gave me excuses of how different chef cooks different ways. I didn’t ask for refund and still left her decent tips. I am very disappointed by her response and their customer service.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I called ahead and ordered my food so it would be ready when I arrived and could dine in. As soon as I sat down, the lady at the front desk came over and yelled at me in front of everyone, saying I “should have told her I wanted to dine in” and that “this is a high-end restaurant.” She then stood there giving me a five-minute lecture for no reason.

I’ve never been treated so rudely at a restaurant. Her attitude was unprofessional, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. I won’t be returning after this experience.

This was a terrible experience. I ordered via Uber eats/Postmates. East Ocean uploaded their menu and pricing to the website I used. The website took my order. The website charged my credit card. When I showed up to pick up my order, East Ocean said that they don’t use Uber Eats / Postmates and they did not have my order. I needed to re-order there at the restaurant. I ended up paying double. I am disputing the charge, but that will take 2 to 3 days to initiate. This is the worst restaurant in Virginia. Worst service. Worst food. Worst overall. I would go hungry rather than eat here again.

DO NOT order online at this restaurant. I ordered on line over the weekend and waited an hour to receive my order when people walking in and ordering were receiving their food within 10-15 minutes. I even paid for my order and left after not receiving my food after the hour wait. Not even an apology or offering a credit. Absolutely terrible service.

Feel bad for the front person. They are doing a lot of the jobs but they have all these apps you can order on and they are NOT tracking any of it. Ordered and got there 40 mins later. Waited another 30 mins to get only half my order. Call in and be ready to wait
