I’ve been a fan since the mid 90s when it was on Boston Ave. The seafood platter is still the same. Although I live in NC now and have for quite a while, I always make it my business to get my fix and see my long time friend. The best fried shrimp anywhere in CT. No one tops East Main Fish and Chips… it’s hard to believe you can afford to eat so good when your living on a budget. One of Bridgeport’s best kept secrets and hidden gems.

Definitely a “get what you pay for” spot.. family suggested I try it out I wish I never did.. Once I arrived the look and the location should have been a give away. Yes the portions are good for the price until you taste it.. all the seafood is previously frozen and WAY over battered.. I had a clam strip in the car on the way home and was hoping I just got “a bad one” nope they were all mostly batter. Any piece of the seafood platter just batter with the essence of clam/scallop for an aftertaste. Very disappointing.

Been here for year’s food is good at times. Service is definitely need improvement. Definitely not like it was when it’s was Boston fish and chip hit or mis spot. The owner very rude and you might get your order right. Don’t forget the lunch special don’t call at 2:35 you will wait for it or not get it.

I’ve been going here for YEARS. I only get the shrimp,fried okra and the fried veggies. Those are what I crave from here. My friend had a chilli dog from here the other day I asked for a bite and ate the whole thing lucky he ordered two. It was really good they split the hot dog fry it and put the Chilli on and the bun was so soft..(I’m greedy) it definitely going on my list. The Owner is wonderful. I’m sure all the food is good I just have my favorites. You should try it the prices are pretty reasonable.

The food in this place is delish! I went there once and have been craving fish from there ever since. The onion rings are the bomb! This place is the classic “Around the way” spot that u tell people about n they have to go find it. Prices r reasonable too. Find the place. Check the food out n post your opinion! I have gone here for decades back when it was located on Boston Ave. The owner here is great and has great prices and food. He is efficient and I enjoy coming here.
The reason for the one star rating is due to his employee that has been working for him since being at the Putnam location. He is so negative and just a nasty person. The way he speaks on the phone is not welcoming and it’s even worse in person. He either never wants to wear gloves and gets mad when you ask him to or he is wearing one but touching everything including money with the gloves hand and then is upset when you ask him to put a clean one on because he “already has one on.” I hate when I order and have to deal with him. Today was the last straw! I called in an order for me to pick up. I had my infant baby with me and because there was a person inside looking at the menu ordering, I called in to see if the food was ready. He said it was. I asked him if he can ask the woman if after she places her order to step outside briefly for me to pay and grab my food since it was ready. He gave a non response and hung up. So I waited outside while other customers went inside to order. They stayed inside as well. After waiting fifteen minutes and the baby getting fussy from standing in the same spot, I called again to ask if he could ask them to stand outside so I can pay quickly due to COVID and the baby not being able to wear a mask I didn’t feel comfortable going inside with all the people (I had a mask on). He said well what do you want me to do. I said can you please ask them to step outside since their order was already in and let me grab the food because while I’m waiting here my food is getting cold. He said I can wait until they are finished and I wasn’t opposed to waiting but he continually let more people come inside to place orders and wait inside. So I told him I cannot just stand outside all day while he continues to allow more and more people in so he either asks them to step outside or I will have to leave the food because I’ve been waiting a long while. He didn’t respond so I left. That is the last time I let his negative, nasty energy take space when dealing with me. It’s so unfortunate but if he is still allowed to treat paying customers this way, I refuse to spend another dollar here.
Other people have experienced this with him as well and say they do not like dealing with him and will often hang up and not place an order or not walk inside to place an order if he is the one they have to deal with. Such a shame!!!

My Lil gem of the east side. I came upon this place one afternoon been coming eversince. the seafood combo 12.99 lunch special. Can’t beat it. Big portion to share. Not greasy. Cooked fresh to order. Also love the jalapeño poppers!
