Super long wait to be served and very unhappy with our experience this evening. We have been customers of East Hana JC for years! They finally had a new option for all you can eat for the past year! We understand their policy regarding additional charges for the rolls we dont get to consume! Usually no more than about 7pcs. However, this evening we were told we cant take the few pcs home. We aren’t happy with being charged for the pieces only to learn that it would be thrown in the trash.
We have always been allowed to pay for the few pieces and take them home.

Absolutely love it here! It’s a BYOB establishment so that’s a plus. You guys have to try there all you can eat menu option, it’s so good. They include soda cans, bao buns, gyozas, miso soup and many other options in there all you can eat menu.
WHAT A DEAL. I personally LOVE the white tuna sashimi it tastes like butter! It’s a must try. Shoutout the owner! Ron!

This place could really do a whole lot better if they have better staff! Staff here are either miserable or hate customers. My second time here may just be as worse as the first,with no exaggeration the moment we walked in the Chinese Waitress literally rolled her eyes when I asked a table for 2 ,the second i walked in, then she slammed the plastic container she was holding to the table as if i was such an inconvenience to her. Sat us down and gave the menu didnt even ask if we were doing AYCE, she left immediately and I had to patiently give her time before asking her for the AYCE menu, and again it annoyed her. Even the sushi makers/chefs behind the counter kept looking at us while we wait for her to take our orders, it seems they too either dont like to communicate with their colleague or they dont care at all. Soon after couple more tables were filled and all were treatedly poorly. This is same as the first time i went here few months back. Incredibly rude waitress, slightly lightens up when u ask for the bill as if hoping to get a good tip. This is with no exaggeration. Your food has improved a lot from the first time , but service is HORRIBLE!! That lady is awful, i feel bad while eating, i felt shy ordering co i know it will annoy here. Imagine eating her and the vibes is negative.

Ordered Mixed Tempura, Miso Ramen, Rainbow Roll.
Mixed Tempura- shrimps had clamy and mushy texture and poop wasn’t cleaned out. Some veggies were not fresh (tasted frozen) and thrown in fryer.
Miso Ramen – This ramen is not authentic Japanese ramen. Tasted like a jazzed up (but just okay tasting) shin ramen, broth did not taste like real Japanese ramen broth…Pork was not bad.
The Rainbow roll was the best out of the three things we ordered..

I went to this restaurant with my friends last night and ordered some rolls and sashimi. It was great. The fish was very fresh and the waiters were very friendly. I will bring my family here next time.

Really fresh fish! Only had some yellowtail (I think) that seemed to be thawed so didn’t taste great. Otherwise, the Lover’s Boat was really good. All you can eat is another option I’ll try next time. Soup and salad are good as well. BOYB is a great plus, liquor store on the same block. Officially favorite local sushi spot!

The only one thing – there was no music so it felt like two other tables enjoyed our conversation even more than us.
A bit soud will be great to beat that awkward silence.
Anyway, sushi was fresh and nice. They have like 4 tables on the main floor. There’s is big space upstairs, but I never had a chance to sit there.
And their bubble tea isn’t sweet which was nice to me.

Service was really good but the food wasn’t. Boba tea was just milk, even when it “looked” good it didn’t taste great. Ramen was lacking flavor. We ordered tonkotsu to be safe and it disappointed us. Sushi was ok and fresh, but not the best either! Sadly we won’t come back.

Ordered the lovers’ boat and it was actually really good! The quality of the fish was very fresh for the price and it was also very filling. The owner was also very kind and the staff was attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

I’ve been to East Hana a few times and it’s such a wonderful spot. It’s lowkey in terms of ambience but the food always hits the spot. I usually go for the veggie ramen, and the side chili oil. Definitely would recommend for a quick bite – good variety on the menu and lovely staff.
