Sushi was pretty average but still good! i got a salmon avocado roll, salmon sushi, and fried gyoza as an appetizer. I recommend all but if I were to come again I’d branch out. Service was good/waitress very nice! I only think it was kind of bright inside of the restaurant however nice classical music was playing that made eating in more enjoyable.

I visited East Hana Sushi for the first time in the first month of their opening almost 3 years ago. All the food at East Hana Sushi is always delicious and fresh, it’s one of my favorite places in East Brunswick. The service staff is excellent – friendly and attentive. Restroom is clean.

Such a quaint little restaurant nestled in the ShopRite shopping center in East Brunswick, NJ. I have not eaten inside the restaurant yet, as we’ve ordered takeout while my daughters are in gymnastics close by. The restaurant is clean, updated, and has a fun vibe. It is also BYOB, which is nice. The sushi is very fresh and they have an extensive menu ranging from soups, appetizers, salads, and vast arrays of sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls as well as teriyaki, donburi, noodles, tempura & katsu, bento boxes, lunch specials, udon, and hibachi entrees. So far, we have tried the rainbow rolls, salmon & avocado, sweet heart roll, sumo roll, and california roll. There is definitely a little something for everyone. Most dishes are served with sesame seeds, so I would definitely specify no sesame seeds if this is something you prefer not to have. They are currently closed on Monday’s, but open for lunch and dinner the rest of the week. Sundays, they are open most of the day, while Tuesday through Saturday, they are briefly closed from 3pm reopening at 4pm. We definitely look forward to sampling the rest of the menu. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious.

For the price and the quality, this place can’t be beat! For the appetizers, I would recommend the tuna dumplings or the dragon egg! Both are so creative, unlike anything I have tried at other sushi places, and so delicious too. With the rolls, you pretty much can’t go wrong with anything, but if you want to try something different, I suggest the galaxy sashimi roll, another that I have yet to try anywhere else! As a long time customer from their previous location, this upgrade is great! And what I love most is that the service hasn’t changed, it’s still great, and it always makes you feel like home. P.S. it’s byob and there’s a great liquor store next door with an extensive wine collection, so enjoy!

Our family go here quite often for a good lunch. It offers bento lunch on weekdays and Sundays. The prices are very cheap comparing to a lot of Japanese restaurant (note: the owner is not Japanese). The food is tasty and filling. The restaurant has been around as long as I can remember so it has it’s own regulars.

Been coming here since I was about 8 yrs old and their sushi shop had been one of the best I have experienced in my town. I personally love sushi and if you want AMAZING, and FRESH quality sushi, this is the place to go. They make the best Bento Boxes with their crispy authentic tempura shrimp or their freshly made salmon Teriyaki. If want to do Take Out it is great too! Reasonably priced for what they serve. And also the atmosphere is small but has a good warm feeling with their sushi shop, makes you feel at home. Service is great 🙂 . And I highly recommend it you to experience to sit down and have a good lunch, or dinner with your loved ones, your date, or even your family!
