I hang out here so often I might as well invest in the place. My favorite things about it are:
– Constantly rotating menu, sometimes with one-off surprises! My favorite one-off was an heirloom tomato BLT with homemade Japanese milk bread (Quincey: just let me know when it’s time). My favorite rotating special is the chimichanga.
– Chill & social atmosphere. I typically don’t talk to others when eating at a bar but often find myself in new conversations with new people here.
– Open every day.
– Inexpensive meals which punch well above their weight class. Makes for a fantastic lunch spot if you live nearby.
– They haven’t kicked me out yet.

I stopped here for dinner on a random Wednesday night while driving through on a work trip. The staff were really friendly, super cool atmosphere, and food was good. I appreciated how veg friendly they are and healthy options to choose from (can be difficult to find while traveling sometimes, especially in small towns). The restaurant also had a selection of artisanal grocery items, wine/beer, and local art. I would definitely recommend eating here ,and I will stop by again if I am ever in the area.

This place is so awesome! The food, atmosphere, and service! There’s an abundance of vegan options and their beer and wine selection is immense! They also offer coffee drinks, hot teas, a variety of sparkling waters, and chlorophyll water. The decor is off the hook. Everywhere you look there’s something interesting to look at. Very eccentric. I highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.

The pickles, lettuce, tomato and red onion( all very fresh and tasty) on a fresh bun, chicken perfectly fried, juicy and tender!! My husband had the Treuben, marbled rye bread,Boar’s Head pastrami, sauerkraut, all so well prepared! Sides were the strawberry pudding( yes,a dessert as a side- awesome!) and the Mac and cheese. Incredible food, inviting atmosphere and amazing friendly service. All day Sunday brunch with weekly specials. Multiple coolers full of craft beer, wine, and sodas. Baked goods and frozen food made locally. Full coffee bar and a good offering of beers on draught. Just a really fun place and an important fixture in downtown Monroe.

Wow – first ever visit! Very happy! Had the Harry S Trueben – so delicious! Just the right amount of pastrami, sauerkraut, dressing on a delicious marbled bread! Also had an order of fries, I don’t normally like thicker fries, but these are very good! Also had the Pimpy Longstocking burger- we will be back!

Being from Charlotte, I get a plaza midwood Central avenue vibe from this place. Which is a good thing. It has a why choice of selection of beers. If you want a americano, latte, macchiato or a cappuccino stop on by.
