Great place! The service was super and the Friday/Saturday walleye special was exceptional!! This place has an awesome bottle top bar featuring BREW CREW, GO PACK GO, and INDIES. They also had a super table top and bathroom floor done similarly. It’s a must see and definitely some of the best walleye around; one of us had broiled and one was perfectly deep-fried.

We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. It was exactly what I expected for a small town bar. Cold, bottled beer and bar food. We had batter fried cheese curds and mushrooms, they were very good! I had the deluxe bacon cheeseburger and it hit the spot. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and she really liked that too. Also ordered broasted chicken to go for dinner later that night. That was probably the best of all!

Stopped to grab random food. East End Burger was great, but skip the fries and try another side. Store bought frozen crinkle fries. But it was a great Burger and the menu was pretty extensive. The kitchen was fully open prior to 2 pm on a weekday!

We went in for lunch around 3pm. We ordered our food, had to order sides as burgers don’t come with fries. We ordered 3 burgers, one with batter fried mushrooms that we had to buy as an appetizer, one with cheese curds that we had to buy as an appetizer, and one with sweet potato fries that we had to buy as an appetizer. Then after our food order was put in, there was a loud local person making rude comments about us being at “her” table. She then stalked our table the entire time waiting for us to leave making comments on when they leave we can move to our table, looking over our shoulders to see how close we were to being done, etc. When w went to the bar to pay for our food, said stalker went and cleaned off our table and took our tip off the table. I said something to the bartender who stuck up for the stalker saying oh that’s okay they’re good about giving it to me as if it’s a normal practice and okay with her. What a horrible atmosphere to eat in. $3.50 for 20 sweet potato fries, $4.50 for 10 battered mushrooms, and $5.00 for 10 cheese curds makes it definitely not worth the drive from Winona for lunch. $8.00 for a dry burger with 4 pickles. We will never go there again! Don’t waste your time, money or mental wellbeing. If you’re not from Independence you’re obviously not welcome there.

The bartender was standoffish even when we wanted to order some $10 shots of high-end liquor he couldn’t seem to find the time to go look it up on his book to make sure the price was right but having run a bar I know you want to sell your top shelf liquor just like you want to sell your bar rail liquor that part of the service was disappointing for sure but the owner and cooking staff we’re excellent seems like we weren’t from the area so it is like that I felt

This place is fantastic! The food is Delicious, Everytime I go I have a hard time deciding what to get because everything is so good! Burgers, Fish, Shrimp, Sweet potato fri’s Cheese curd’s are some of my favorites, but they have much more like Chicken, Pizza, Jalapeño popper’s, Gizzards way to much to list. This bar & grill is family-friendly their staff is wonderfully patient with children even when they are busy. I have been impressed with there service time and time again. Short on time or just want to eat at home? No problem as you can call in your order for pick up which is also very convenient. I think they serve food until 9pm so even if your working late, or just have that later evening craving that’s the place to go!

4/10/22 Disappointed in my experience tonight. The burgers were dry, cheese curds were underdone, was given the wrong change, the only saving grace was their salad and even that was overpriced.

Filthy place. Never going back. Bathrooms disgusting. Worst public place I’ve been in. Service beyond bad. Waited over 2 hours for food. Tempted to walk out. Waitress walking around aimlessly to find the right table to serve
