We hired East Coast Pizza for our rehearsal after meeting them at a local farmers market. Our family and friends were absolutely blown away by the pizza. The toppings and variety was out of this world. Stephanie and Stephen were so easy to work with, kind, flexible and did I mention made a TON of good pizza. Our friends all took boxes home for a late night snack. They also brought salad, dessert and coffee. I can’t say enough how absolutely thrilled by the food and service that our guests were. The wedding was great but after the whole weekend guests still say “but that pizza, wow” . Thank you all again
I specially asked for the trailer when I booked as I needed it to fit through a gate. I told Stephanie the dimensions of my gate and the situation when I booked. She reassured me that she checked with Stephen and that the trailer would fit and my request could be accommodated.
Come the day of the party, a full size pizza truck shows up, not the trailer. When I speak with Stephen on the phone, he apologized and told me the trailer is at another event and he was not aware of my request. The booking process seemed a bit unorganized so it didn’t come as a surprise that my request was not written down or noted on their reservation.
The pizza truck then proceeds to die in my driveway. Thankfully one of my guests had jumper cables and was able to help them locate the battery and give the truck a jump.
I booked this company specifically for the trailer, double checked that I would have the trailer upon booking, only for it to not show up. As I said, there is no picture of the truck on their website or Facebook, and when I saw it, it became obvious why. The trailer is much more appealing and decorated like an Italian pizza shop would be. My guests were never able to see the pizza being made as the truck had to park elsewhere. The ambiance of the pizza truck was lost for the event. It seemed as though the company double booked that day.
The two guys working the pizza truck were great however. They went above and beyond to run pizzas from the truck to the party location. It was not their fault the wrong truck showed up. Stephen, the owner, did provide an apology and a discount for the trouble, which I appreciate. I ended up tipping the two workers more for the trouble they went through to run the pizzas back and forth.
However, if you are booking this company planning on the nicely decorated trailer showing up, make sure you triple check with Stephen directly.

I contacted Stephanie to reserve a Saturday afternoon event. She sent over a contract which had the time, date, and place listed on it. Deposit was sent. I also confirmed with her via text a few days before the event on if they needed anything else. They said everything was on track or Saturday.
They were supposed to be at the event at 11am to setup for a 12pm lunch service. 11:15am and no one is there. I text and call them around 11:30am to ask when they will be there for setup and they respond “we’ll be there at 5pm”. I call and they said they had a “mistake in the confirmation”. EVEN THOUGH THEY SENT A CONTRACT WITH THE CORRECT TIMINGS.
They cancelled on us 30 minutes before the event started, leaving us high and dry. Totally unprofessional and ridiculous. They did not even offer to help cover costs for food that needed to be ordered in 30 mins to feed the folks at the event. Thank God for Zani’s Pizza in Ansonia, who helped cater the event at the very last minute.
NOT TO MENTION that it took 5 hours and multiple unanswered phone calls to get my deposit back. AFTER THEY MISSED THE EVENT.
Mistakes happen, but this was a horrible experience and one that can’t be made if you are running a catering business. Especially when you are the one sending out a contract with the time and place on paper.
Find someone else to help you with your event. Trust me, you’re better off.
