Very authentic traditional Cantonese Chinese cuisine. Food is delicious and this place is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. I’m not talking about spring rolls or crab rangoons, but real Chinese food.

They also have Chinese BBQ inside, like crackling pork, roast pork, roast duck, soy sauce chicken. You can also order these for takeout.

Service is usually good but can get busy if restaurant is full sometimes. Atmosphere is good, but can get crowded if restaurant is full. Great for lunch when it’s less busy, and great place for a family dinner.

Price is fair. $10-20 for individual, and of course family style would be more.

Free street parking around the area.

Came here for late night meal after long shift and they’re about to close too. They didn’t rush me to order and to eat too. I ordered Wonton noodle and it tasted good. Noodle was al dente, wontons are succulent, but the broth is a bit bland. Definitely a place to go if you crave Cantonese style Chinese food.

Small place that cooks authentic dishes from my childhood restaurant memories. We went at a slow time – 2p on a Monday – and were the only ones eating. The waiter was efficient and helpful and understood my Americanized Toisanese. We got everything exactly the way I asked for them to be cooked. Food is old school nostalgic and very reasonably priced for the generous serving size. It’s a small space so it is usually packed when we walk by but we went in today because it was post mid day lunchtime so we sat and ordered right away. Would definitely return to try more menu items. It’s a large menu.

This was our first visit to East Chinatown Restaurant, based on a Google Maps search. It seems we arrived close to closing time (within 2 hours), as many of the tempting Chinese BBQ options were already sold out or past their prime. Additionally, the staff appeared to be winding down for the day, resulting in minimal service and a wait for our food to be cooked.

While the food was affordable, it lacked flavor and presentation.

On the bright side, there’s a small parking lot behind the restaurant (in addition to street parking), which is helpful to know. We plan to return at an earlier time to experience the full menu and hopefully, enjoy a more attentive service and tastier dishes.

Large portions at good prices. The food is really tasty. Best to eat family style and share everything.

We ordered fried tofu, salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper pork chops, clams in black bean sauce and watercress with garlic and it was more than enough food for 5 of us.

Just saw some white guy go and call the police because the tables were all reserved but the servers aren’t fluent in English. Thought it was bs until the restaurant was completely full only twenty minutes later. Same white guy also said that he owned four hotels and that he was entitled to a table. Hate racist and people who would rather waste our town resources and make people suffer because of a power trip. Good people who work hard to run a restaurant. Not amazing, but definitely not bad.

Next time get reservations.

Would give 0 if possible. Extremely disappointed with the service and management here. We had a 6:00 PM reservation for six people. Two of us arrived at 5:50 PM and were refused seating—despite empty table was there —because our ‘full party’ wasn’t there.
When the rest of us arrived at 6:00 PM sharp, they had already given our table away! We were forced to stand and wait for 30 minutes, which was incredibly difficult for the three members of our party who are over 80 years old.
To make matters worse, once we were finally seated, the owner made us move two minutes later to accommodate a larger group. Total lack of respect for customers and zero organization. We won’t be back.
