We had an amazing experience at East Bay Italian Grille and Bar! From start to finish, the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant.
The food was absolutely mouthwatering. The seafood pasta was my personal favorite perfectly cooked pasta tossed with shrimp, scallops, fresh tomatoes, and spinach in a flavorful sauce. Every bite was incredible.
The shrimp parm was another standout: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and made with huge shrimp. Both dishes were packed with flavor and beautifully presented.
To top it off, their tequila old fashioned was delicious and perfectly balanced
highly recommend this place
We left impressed, satisfied, and excited to come back soon. A true gem in Barnegat!

Baked Stuffed Shrimp Pasta & Prime Rib Special were just what the doctor ordered. Italian Egg Rolls were an awesome appetizer. East Bay has yet to dissapoint us, not to mention the AMAZING service and atmosphere are perfect for a date night.

I love East Bay Italian Grille and Bar. It’s cozy, comfortable and has really good food. My husband and I go once a week since moving here in November. We even had my mom’s 85th birthday dinner there. Everyone enjoyed it. Also, you get a salad with your dinner and all the dressings are homemade. Yum Yum! They have piano music on Friday and Saturday nights.

Walked in and was greeted right away. I had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was super friendly and nice. The owners were very attentive and walked by to make sure everything was ok, which everything was EXCELLENT!!!!! The atmosphere, the food, the dinner music and the employees were great. I’ve had take out from here before but will now be a regular spot. BTW, the bar recently added was gorgeous and the drinks were delicious, the draft beer was ice cold and fresh. Highly recommend East Bay Italian Grill.

After a few years of enjoying dining at East Bay Grille, it’s disappointing for me to leave this unfavorable review.
Any dish ordered with seafood was sooooo oily you couldn’t even taste the seafood: mussels in red sauce very oily, noticeable all over plate , suppa di pesce very oily. You can see the pasta was orange from all the oil. SCALLOPS WERE HORRIBLE. Very oily. WHY? The chef needs to re consider his heavy hand when using oil. You only need a “smidge” to brown your garlic. There wasn’t even a lot of garlic to constitute all the oil used. Flavorless. The italian eggroles were new to us on the menu and they were tasty, and again the eggroll itself was over fried.
My Italian relatives would NEVER serve any of their food with oranges, greasy looking food. We did not enjoy this dining experience.Those who are familiar with good Italian prepared food, take warning.
Normally the service is good, but not on this visit. After placing our order our server was barely visible.

What a great local restaurant and bar. We went for Happy Hour and really enjoyed our beverages and a great variety of apps. Delicious entrees, sandwiches and pizza too.Terrific service too!

I would think twice before ordering here. While picking up food for someone else, I witnessed 1 of the girls keep picking up her cell phone and touching it and then proceeding to touch/poke the pizza in the oven to check on if it was cooked fully. You know how much bacteria exists on everyone’s cell phones???? No gloves on either while she touched the pizza and readjusted the toppings.

My husband and I took our daughter and three grandchildren here for lunch. It was our first visit. We ordered the calamari and two pies. Delicious!! We have missed our up north pizza since moving to the shore 4 years ago; what a great find, super thin, generous toppings. The calamari was fresh, lightly battered, marinara sauce tasty!

The food was great. I will agree with below that there’s too much oil and Parmesan cheese on calamari wasn’t necessary because it was delicious aside from the salty taste. I had the scallops and the flavor was good and they were cooked well but no need for all that oil. We also made reservations and weren’t told we’d be placed on the pizza side because a party was coming in the dining side. I was extremely upset because my godmother was visiting us after a year and it was embarrassing to be shoved in a corner. We loved our waitress but she never introduced herself or said goodbye and just…went mia. I assume it was the owner that then came over and took the rest of our order and brought out dessert but again never introduced herself or apologize for the miscommunication for the entire night from our reservation to staff just leaving. Overall, the food was good. We were here back in 2022 and I enjoyed it a little more back then and felt the dining area was wonderful then and wish we could have experienced the new area today.
We would love to try this place again in hopes that it was just poor communication tonight.

My husband and I have eaten here a few times now and the food and service was wonderful. The bread on the sandwiches is to die for, so delicious. We just moved to the area and we are so happy we found Easy Bay Italian Grill!
