This place is the GOAT. My husband and I stopped in on a layover from Japan to New York. The place is unassuming, but as soon as you walk in you are greeted with incredible warmth and hospitality. Adan (sorry if I am misspelling that!) was unbelievably kind to us – just asked us what meat we liked, then said he’d hook us up and took the decision making out of our hands. He brought us a platter with delicious lentils, lamb shank, stewed chicken, tons of injera and delicious home made tea. He checked on us throughout the meal and ensured we had everything we need. We realize that they butcher much of (if not all of) the meat there, making it super fresh. It was just delicious and we felt nurtured throughout. Don’t judge this place by the fact that it’s in a strip mall. It was the best and if we lived in Seattle we’d be regulars for sure.

Absolute must try restaurant! We came for breakfast and tried the Suqar with chicken and beef, both were delicious! Came with piles of hot steaming injera bread which we used to sop up the sauce and tender meat with our hands. Our server recommended their sweet hot tea which was a delicious blend of spices including ginger and cinnamon similar to chai. Very enjoyable! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you to our server for a wonderful experience!

We stopped here from out of state before our flight at a friend’s recommendation. The food was excellent and the man who served us was kind and attentive. I put 3 stars for atmosphere only because Fox News was on one of the TVs — besides that, an excellent meal! I imagine the take out is just as great!

Had a wonderful experience! I have never had East African food or even lamb before and it was delicious! The meat was falling off the bone, perfectly prepared. The man who greeted us and the server were both very friendly and the server helped me pick a dish. Loved the atmosphere, it felt like everyone was just eating dinner in their family home.

So delicious! I had never eaten at an African restaurant before, but I will 100% be back! The person at the counter was super friendly and my husband and I were stuffed after trying to eat the whole injera platter. The ginger tea was also amazing!!!

Our beef steak and rice were very good. My 4 yo son especially loved the rice, which was cooked perfectly with lots of flavors. My husband and I enjoyed the beef with the green sauce (think it’s cilantro and chillies) and the fresh salad that comes with the meal. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The location is very convenient within walking distance from the Tukwila light rail station

Just got back from Japan, laying over before returning home to New York, happened to come in to have a quick meal. It was such a lovely experience. The owners welcomed us in, served us delicious tea, hooked us up with an incredible dish of chicken, lentils, and lamb on the bone. The seasoning, the flavors were so on point. Better than any food I had in Japan. If I lived here I’d come back all the time. Thank you again!

We enjoyed eating here after flying into Seattle. We got a sampler platter with lamb, beef, lentils, and veggies on injera. It was phenomenal! Some of the best we’ve had. And the tea was just lovely!!! We recommend this place, especially if you are looking for something that feels a little off the beaten path. Although it is only minutes from the airport, it was a rich cultural experience.

Delicious! I enjoyed the combination dish with injera. I loved the lentils, the lamb was DELICIOUS my husband cleaned the bone like a dog . Everything was so good. Will be back!

Came here for breakfast as i had a couple hour layover in Seattle and had some amazing food. The staff was lovely as well. Super close to the airport by light rails which is very convenient. Will definitely be back!
