Student businesses / Co-ops are an amazing and enriching opportunity. Earthfoods is one of my favorite at UMass located in the Student Union right next to People’s Market. They serve affordable fresh hot lunches to everyone. Their specialty are focused in vegetarian and vegan dishes. All of the employees are undergrad students and you can tell they are passionate about their business as a co-manager. I agree with the other reviewer that as this is student run with limited guidance from the University the presentation and preparation can be at times a little sloppy. They are able to accept the YCMP swipes, which is great for students who get sucked into buying the (overpriced) campus meal plan. Might as well use them up right?

Delicious vegetarian and vegan food! I can be a picky eater, but this place is always having me try new foods. Fun atmosphere where you can get work done, if you want. Staff is amazing, too .

The employees are awesome and they care more about feeding people than making money.
