The place offered us XinJiang milk tea which was interesting and was complementary which was a cool add to the experience.
Beef chow fun was a comfort go to dish we got and it was some of the best we have had in the greater Seattle area, fresh, tasty, big proportion and very reasonable price.
RouJiaMo was fresh and warm, meat is tender, well seasoned and the bun was super crunchy and flaky. A bit heavy on the soy sauce for my taste but the dish itself is very well executed and for a reasonable price.
The XinJiang specialty dish were pretty good too, the meat bun was fresh and hot, the shell was super crunchy and plenty of meat inside.
The specialty rice was decent, would like a bit more meat in there as those were really tender and delicious compared to the rice part, but the pickle carrot that came with it were on fire, loved the pickled carrots.
Overall, very interesting and unqiue cuisine with good value.
I also love that you can choose your preferred spice level and even the type of fish, so every time feels customized and just right.
Both dishes are cumin-forward and I love cumin, so I think they’re flavorful. The lamb was prepared excellently as there was no gamey smell to it. The rice comes with chickpeas and also pickled/oily carrots (not pictured) which were very tasty with the rice.
The meat filling in the bread was really good, and the pastry was soft and filling. I do think it’s a bit thicker than I’m used to, but I never really had Xinjiang food so you can disregard me on that.
Overall I will be visiting again, definitely plus points to the polite waitress and waiter, even giving me suggestions on how to reheat for optimum taste!
The place is much cleaner now and offers dine-in seating, which makes the overall experience better. Worth checking out.
BTW, they are having a lucky draw promotion. I got 10% dicount. The other table got a free drink.
