My wife and I split the Earls platter with chopped brisket, hot link, smoked bologna we got the sides as mayo potato salad and deviled eggs. The brisket was dry but still ok. I liked hot links my wife does not .
The bologna was very good I would definitely eat that again on a sandwich. The potato salad and deviled eggs were both good. Everything was good just not over the top.
The mac and cheese was Spot on. Classic, cheesy. The potato salad, though, was wild. More of a coleslaw/potato salad mashup. Different. Not my thing, but I’m not mad at it.
The brisket was the real letdown. Chewy, kind of bland. You’ll either need to drown it in sauce or skip it altogether. The ribs, on the other hand, came through. Tender, and with sauce they really hit the spot.
The service was friendly and the food was served hot and fast.
Overall, a solid BBQ joint. Worth a visit, but not something I’d write home about
The brisket and ribs were melt in your mouth good!! Earls was great!!
So glad we goggled for a bbq place near us as we left OU!!
Thanks J.T. for the help ordering, we appreciate you and will be back to see y’all again!!
I got smoked turkey, bologna, and brisket.
The turkey was the most flavorful of these. The bologna had a bare hint of smoke. The brisket had no bark, no noticeable seasoning, and no smoke ring or flavor of smoke.
The sign says if you can find better barbeque, eat it.
I agree
I ordered the Brisket (moist requested), smoked bologna, pulled pork and the deviled eggs
Brisket: Dry. even by lean standards it was dry. Zero fat on any piece. If you don’t use bbq sauce you won’t be able to eat this.
Bologna: not great. it appears they don’t smoke their meats very long. There’s zero smoke flavor or any other flavor in this bologna. It tasted like a warm slice of sandwich bologna. You can tell they pre slice is prior to cooking as there is no moisture held in it.
Pulled pork: GOOD. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved to the pulled pork. Very tender, juicy and shredded amazingly. Again, not a ton of smoke flavor but I’d get the pulled pork again.
Deviled eggs: nothing special but not horrible. They use sweet relish but not a lot. No mustard taste though which I prefer.
Overall I would not come here if you like real pit bbq.
