We were excited to try the food here. Walked in and it was a really cute place. The menu items sounded delicious. There is a sign that says to wait to be seated. So we waited. And waited and waited. No one even acknowledged we were there despite walking past us multiple times. A big group left and it took the busser about 10 minutes to just remove the stuff from the table. We finally asked if we could just seat ourselves there, I wiped it off myself. We got someone over to order and were told right away that they were out of multiple items so we had to choose something else. We ordered a skillet (yooper on a hot tin roof) without the ingredients they were out of, I ordered the cinnamon French toast because they were out of buiscuits and gravy, and we ordered the kids scrambled eggs with cheese and a pancake to share. They brought out the skillet and half the ingredients were in prepackaged cups. The taste was way off and it was barely warm. The French toast wasn’t even toast. It was soggy bread with loads of cinnamon. The inside was somehow raw and mushy. The kids scrambled eggs were burned on the bottom and couldn’t even cut through, the pancake was also raw in the middle and very mushy. My kids ate the cheese off the eggs and that was it. We ended up leaving without eating but a few bites. We went to the gas station after and got my kids a soft pretzel and they both told me how amazing it was. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place. The service is lacking and the food is neither fresh nor well cooked.

The food was good. My husbands meal was delicious. He got the country fried steak breakfast and was extremely happy. My breakfast was the basic #1 special, it was good. Nothing special. The buttermilk pancake how ever was delicious.
Service could have been way more attentive. We were not checked up on at all during our meal, and we didn’t receive refills on beverages and our coffee only got filled after the meal was done. My food came out approximately 5-7 minutes before my husbands, which I understand happens sometimes but no one said anything to us. My meal was delivered and we weren’t told anything about the rest of the order.
There was little to no wait for a table and ordering time was good. It was the inattentive service that made this less than I had hoped for. The rye bread was so good. And my eggs were a perfect medium.

Waited 15 mins with my wife and 2 kids at the top of the stairs by the “wait to be seated” sign with a table with six seats open. Waitress said are you waiting for a table or want to sit at the bar we said a table so she sit the couple behind us at the bar. After a few more mins I walked up to the waitress at the bar and asked if we can just sit our selfs and they said yes. They brought our drinks but no straws for us or the kids drinks had to tracks down the waitress to ask for straws. The silverware were all dirty. They were out of mushrooms, biscuits, cinnamon rolls. While sitting waiting for out food over heard complaints from adjacent customers complaining about how the bacon was not good and how many people came in for the biscuits and gravy. Which there was none. Pan cakes were raw in the middle French toast raw in the middle the yooper on a hot tub roof which they were out of mushrooms probably only cause everything else came in a can or plastic container…. 1 out of 10 would not recommend…

Local diner suitable for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
The seating area isn’t too big, thankfully we got seated as soon as we walked in. But folks after us had to wait 15-20 mins to be seated.
Food is good, nothing extra ordinary. Just a solid local diner serving country side items.

Yum! Dropped by here early before our hike. We split a breakfast plate with a few add ons. It was fresh, flavorful, and well-priced. They even gave us a free, fresh cup of coffee to go when we were leaving. Staff were friendly and attentive. Space was small but clean and orderly.

We had a 10am boat tour and wanted a good breakfast to start the day. We arrived a little after opening and were able to get a table right away. Our coffee’s were brought over quickly and refilled often. The meals were served and the talking became quiet. The star was the cinnamon roll for my wife, but the corn beef in my skillet was better (IMO).

Definitely will come back. What they do to their pancakes to make them taste like heavenly birthday cake clouds I do not know but wow were they good. Also the Earl E. Byrds breakfast roast by Gallery coffee is so good I left with two bags.

We came hungry and left stuffed! He had a skillet. The hash browns and ham were browned perfect. I had blueberry pancakes with a little whipped cream and hash browns on the side. The blueberries were fresh, huge and delicious! The hash browns were crispy and perfectly cooked, probably some of the best we’ve had! Good coffee that was refilled frequently, and we were offered coffee to go also. Friendly fast service. This is a do-over for us while we are in the area!

We ate here our last day in town, it was not speedy so if you in a rush go to the bookstore/coffee shop. We had a group of 6 and a variety of items. The cinnimon roll was 2⭐️, the centers gooey but the outside was hard and dry. The handmade sausage patty, 5⭐️ and the eggs and hash browns were good. The pancakes awesome but be prepared they are bit different than a typical pancake. They are fluffy and have a coating that is divine!

Perfect and sumptuous breakfast. The Yooper on hot tin roof was delicious and perfectly spicy. The pancakes and the cinnamon roll were heavenly. Definitely recommend this place.
