Absolute gem!
Looks kind of uninviting to entered the back, but the food & service is top shelf!
They were so sweet to our 1yr old daughter. They had high chairs & booster seats and a change pad in the bathroom.
It’s small inside & was BUSY! we were lucky to get a seat at lunch on a Wednesday.
The food was so good. Just freshly made & home cooked comfort food. Our baby had the Mac & cheese (not pictured) and it was Soooooo good!!!
Staff were amazing. So down to earth & kind and just loved it all. Friendly local diner feel.

We had dinner Friday started with Greek salad and onion rings (so good).
Dinner we had the fish and chips upgraded to poutine and the Big Crunch chicken sandwich with fries (amazing). Raisin butter tarts for dessert (so yummy I ordered 6 to pick up the day we left)
Sunday went for breakfast 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and home fries with toast and fesh jam. Filling and fantastic!!! Shout out to Kaylee ♓️ the sweetest server!!

We stumbled upon this cute little local spot on our way to camp and noticed it had great reviews — and honestly, it totally lived up to the hype!
We ordered two sandwiches — the Crunchy Burger and the Texas — and both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the woman we met there (who we believe is the owner) was so kind, patient, and welcoming.
Everything felt homemade, thoughtful, and full of heart. Such a lovely experience — we’re so glad we found it!

Stopped in for supper and had the big crunch sandwich. Was so delious we will be back. Staff was great. Friendly, and provided great customer service. Definitely take the time to try this place.

At a (rare) loss for words: Have had property in the area for decades and had no idea this was here. Had a burning desire for a “breakfast” in the early afternoon and happened across this by doing a phone search. It’s welcomingly casual and entry during a frigid blizzard was enhanced by a warm foyer separated from the main dining area, which is also where the restrooms are making them pleasantly private. Then came the food. Steak and Eggs: Unbelievable quality accompanied by the most perfect homefries that had a beautiful crunch; “Traditional Breakfast” we enhanced with peameal bacon and it was so thick and amazing. Incredibly reasonable pricing. Our server was wonderful and wish we had gotten her name. Coming back to try every single option. It’s been six hours and the excitement of finding this place has not worn off!!

Eagles Nest Restaurant was recommended to us by a local as we are new to the area. They praised the food to be home made and delicious which we can now attest to. Ordered takeout for maple bacon burger, onion rings and BLT with crunchy seasoned battered fries. The burger was really good, not overly seasoned so you could taste the beef and appreciate nice soft bun as well as my picky no condiments request followed to the letter. My husband raves about their BLT despite being a simple sandwich, he really loved it. All very tasty which will bring us back to try more menu items.
From the outside you wouldn’t think anything of it, but a true gem inside – small but cosy, clean and welcoming. Parking in back where the entrance is.

This little place is exactly what you want from a small town local haunt. Get in early to get a table or just do takeout. My mother asked for a chicken salad sandwich, old skool, not on the menu and they made it fresh, chopped the celery and chicken there. I had an incredible maple beef burger and poutine that was made like Quebec was inhouse. The owners run the shop well and are the sweetest couple I’ve seen in years. Sorry to hear they are selling but surely the new owners will continue this gem. We drove over an hour to test it out and adding in Brandy’s homemade NY style AUTHENTIC cheesecake means we will go back next week, it’s that good.

Stop into this small establishment with only 7 tables and enjoy some classics like burgers with fries or try those delicious onion rings. Want something a little more fresh their wraps are wonderful having not only chicken but wonderful berries.

This place is so good with quality food options. Many of their dishes are authentic. We tried battered mushrooms which was okay, ranch dip was fresh with it. Cranberry cheese with nachos chips were different and unique. Prices are reasonable.
For Indians, it won’t be that tasty though as it’s mild.

I decided to look up places to eat while visiting Bancroft and came across this location. Honestly I’m glad I checked it out the service was great and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this place. I’m not in Bancroft often but at least I know where I can stop for good food and service the next time I’m back
