My husband and I had some business in Bethalto near lunch time. There were lots of food choices. We decided on Eagles Nest restaurant. It is a cafe atmosphere with very friendly employees. Everyone is greeted with a smile. The employees were dressed for Halloween and very upbeat. My husband chose the Hungry Man breakfast and I chose the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Initially I thought, oh I am not sure that breakfast with only 2 pancakes would fill my husband up. Little did I know the pancakes were 8 inches or more. Yikes. Yes, he got through the two eggs, sausage and bacon, but he struggled and could not finish the pancakes! My burger was huge and I barely managed to clean my plate. The meals were great. The prices were fair. The employees were fun. There is plenty of parking. We would definitely go again when in the area.

Food was out quickly! It was delicious. I ordered sausage and egg sandwich on croissant and my girlfriend got a half order of biscuits and gravy. The coffee was hot but breeed conservatively not my tastes but probably the best average brew strength for a small town restaurant
