Good burgers and good chicken tenders, bad part was I came close to closing time and they had no cream gravy. Nice setting in patio area. Clean bathroom, and dining area. Excellent CFS sandwich with an egg… definitely a must try place. By the way everyone please bring cash, credit cards not accepted, because of no internet.

My family of 5 had burgers here for lunch. The burgers were very good. The staff was very friendly and had a very busy breakfast crowd that morning that left them out of bacon. If we hadn’t left town the next day we would have made the trip back for breakfast. Thank you for a great lunch!

Have to be a local. Very small with limited menu. They seem to know if you are from out of town. Large breakfast burrito was ok. tThey were out of bacon and only had a few things on the menu so that really limited the choices, other meat choice is sausage. Ok, but better if they know you.

Has the potential to be great. Missing some things to make it a 4-5 star. The biscuits and gravy was skimp on the meat and the service seemed to be too busy to help the patrons. Although the cooking was done right, especially for the breakfast burrito. The place is nothing special… yet.

Thought it would be mediocre. Boy was I wrong! It was awesome! In all my 50+ years of travel, I have never had such a great BLT. I know what you’re thinking… it’s a BLT, how great can it be? Yeah, that’s what I thought. I was SO WRONG! It is amazing! Probably the second best bacon I’ve ever had (hard to beat Granzin Market in New Braunfels for any meat but this was very close). The menu says 4 slices, but with the size of the slices, it equates to 7 or 8! And perfectly done, not overcooked or rubbery. Bread was perfectly toasted, not too little, not too much. Fresh crisp veggies, not mealy, limp, or old. My friends had a burger and fries and she said they were also very good. And the young people waiting on us were very polite and friendly, putting up with us trying to get our crap together and figure out what we wanted. A very nice surprise after having mediocre food elsewhere all weekend in Eagle Nest. Will definitely be back soon!

Bravo to the cook that upped my chicken fried steak sandwich. The menu serves it like a hamburger, but I asked if I could have my with sauted onions and green chilis, cheddar cheese on a grilled bun. No lettuce or tomato. I ate this twice in a week. So great…So kudos to the cook and Sarah.

Think they should add it to their menu and call it:
Mac’s Favs, because it is my favorite

We had come back from some fishing, and it started to rain. Ducked in around 1 pm for a late lunch. Great food, friendly service and nice friendly other local guests. Hubby had a chicken strips combo, I had the classic BLT. Both were cooked perfectly. Coffee was hot and strong the way we liked it. Not a vegan or vegetarian meal for us. Just good old amreican fair.

Enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger made fresh at the cafe from ground beef and cooked while we sat outside on the patio. Either I was starving, or that was one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had in a cafe/diner. I had a few of my husband’s french fries, and they were very good as well. Would love to see what they can do with a grilled chicken sandwich!
